Comfortable house in 3 acres of land, in the historic heart of England

The house has a cosy sitting room with a real fire, plus a quiet and comfortable conservatory. The newly renovated kitchen-dining area measures 20x14 and is full of light, and is the comfortable heart of the house.

There are 3 double bedrooms, all ensuite, all very quiet.

The house stands in three acres of organic garden/veg patch/fruit trees/ stream, with lots of bird and other wildlife, plus several areas for sitting, reading, eating - even nude sunbathing!
We live on the edge of a small quiet village, with a village shop, pubs, and within 3 miles of other facilities including an award winning artisan baker.
We are on the edge of the beautiful Peak Park in the heart of England, with wonderful walking and cycling (hilly!), and some wild swimming options.
Sight seeing opportunities are endless, and include many fine historic  houses and churches, such as the famous Chatsworth House, and my favourites Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall; Arkwright mills and Cromford World Heritage site; and the Matlocks. There are boundless opportunities to rummage in Vintage & Antique shops.
Being in the centre of England, we are within 90 minutes drive of York or Stratford-on-Avon, and two hours to the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District or the coast. London is about 90 mins by direct train.

We also have a pretty two-hundred year old cottage available in the small Georgian town of Wirksworth, if you prefer, with two bedrooms but no garden. Wirksworth is a fascinating old market town, with all amenities including good pubs, 54- seat independent cinema, and a vibrant annual arts festival. See photos.
