House in a quiet neighbourhood with all amenities and near the citycentre

Bruges is one of the popular touristic places to visit in Europe, with its interesting museums, romantic canals, historical buildings and many more. The citycentre is world-heritage of Unesco (please visit website www.brugge.be).
The city has a great range of restaurants, bars, cafés, chocolate- and beershops, cinema, concerthalls, etc..

There is a busstop around the corner. The bus to the trainstation takes 15 min. and by train you can visit other interesting and historical cities such as , Ghent, Brussels, Leuven, Antwerp, Ypres, Kortrijk...

Hiking and cycling is very popular here, there are many easy and flat cycling trails, some go even across the border with Holland (Sluis). We have 2 citybikes available.
Bruges is also close to the coastal cities at the Northsea that offer kite- and windsurfing, beachsailing, golf, casino's, fishing- and sailingports.
Along the coastline you can take the tram from the French border (De Panne) to the Dutch border (Knokke).
It is the longest tram line in the world (68 km).

Other well-known destinations and cities like Paris, London, Amsterdam, Keulen (Köln) are easy reachable by fast trains  : Eurostar, TGV, Thalys.

Our national airport is Brussels Airport approx. 1h10 by train from Brugge.

A regional airport is Brussels South (Charleroi). From June 1st 2014 there is a direct coach from Charleroi airport to Bruges'railwaystation (in both directions) 9 times a day (www.flibco.com) and the www.ouibus.be from Bruges to Lille (France)

Until the end of 2018 the Great War (1914-1918) Remembrance is taking place in Belgium (www.be14-18.be/en)‎.
From Bruges there are daytrips to the Flanders Fields (see the city's website - excursions)
Visit the In Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres ( www.inflandersfields.be ).
