House with beautiful view over landscape in Leuth (close to Nijmegen), Netherlands.
Our house is situated on the border of the village, there is a open view from our house and garden into the fields. This gives a very spacious feeling and a beautiful view.
Our house is a typical Dutch family home. We have a living room with a large open kitchen besides it, 4 sleeping-rooms and an attic. The sleeping room at the attic we use as a guest room and a workroom. The bathroom has a bath, a separate shower and a second toilet.
We have a secluded garden in the back and aside the house, with several terraces and a lot of sun. This is a very nice place to relax, and for children to play. We live in a dead end street with very little traffic so children can also play safely in the 2 playgrouds in our street.
Our house is suitable for a maximum of 2 adults and four children.
We live in a little village called Leuth. Leuth is situated 10 km east from the city of Nijmegen, a 10 minute drive. Amsterdam is approximately 100 km to the north-east, about 1,5 hour by car. We are 2km away from the German border, with the German city of Kleve on a distance of 15 km. There are no border controls, so free passing.
Leuth is surrounded by the nature-area called the "ooy-polder" .This is a strip of land between the river Waal(Rhine) and small hills. This is an excellent area for making bicycling, skating or hiking trips. 3 km. away from Leuth there is a recreational lake with a nice free swimming beach. It's also a possibility to make boat trips on the river. In this area you can see lots of birds, typical Dutch dykes and horses and cows in the wild.
Nearby, 5 minutes away from Leuth, there are forests where you can make nice forestwalks.
10 km away from Leuth we have Nijmegen. Nijmegen is a middle-size dutch city, with a vivid cultural life!! There are artmusea, theatres, and many bars and restaurants with terraces, so you never have to get bored in the evenings. Also for children there is plenty to do in this area. There is for example a small amusement park, several open-air museums, and a lot of places to play. In 2005 Nijmegen celebrated its 2000 year anniversary, so it's also a historical city.

About Our Family
We are family of 4. Wilma age 52 and Wilfred 55. In 2007 and 2010 we went to China to adopt our sons Fulin and Xiaoxing. Fulin is 15 years old and Xiaoxing is 13. Wilfred works as a IT-engineer and Wilma as a occupational therapist for people with a mental disability. Besides our work we have many other things we are interested in. Of course, we spent a lot of time with Fulin and Xiaoxing. But we also like to visit cultural events, enjoy the nature and spend time with friends, for example to play board games and card games. Also we like to go to concerts and festivals of all kinds. Also our garden is a nice place to spent our time in. Wilfred and the boys like to make music. We have a keyboard/electrical piano, several guitars and a bugel. We also have a dog, but she will be at a dog boarding kennel during our exchanges.
