Gothenburg, Sweden (by the sea)

We live 15 km outside Gothenburg centre, which is Swedens second largest city. The house is located a short 10 minutes walk from the sea in a very country-like area with horses, ducks and forests. As a member of the local community, we can also dispose a small island for recreation and swimming. Gothenburg can offer a lot of activities, interesting sights, culture, gardens, good shopping, restaurants for people with or without children. We also have an interesting and beautiful archipelago.

The house have 3 bedrooms a comfortable kitchen and big livingroom and is 130 sqm. We also have a small guesthouse/extra livingroom. We like our house very much and take good care of it, as we would with yours if you consider an exchange with our family. We have a big garage where we keep bicycles and tools for the garden. The closest neighbours are 2 summer houses, so our garden is quite private. We have solarpanels on our roof to heat the water.

Gothenburg can offer a lot of activities, interesting sights, culture, gardens, good shopping, restaurants for people with or without children. We also have an interesting and beautiful archipelago.

We have two unique laws in Sweden to protect the publics right of moving freely in nature, the right of public access to beaches, lands, woods as long as you respects signs. That means that you can walk, cycle, camp, pick flowers, berries and mushrooms. And the protections of beaches, which means that the costline and lakes are mostly very accesable for the public, since it is hard to get permissions to build private properties along the coasline.

About Our Family

Our familly consists of Petra & Jonas and our two boys Erik 14 years & Gustav 14 years. Our boys are well behaved and know how to be careful with our house and furniture. We have made nine exchanges and always taken good care of the nice houses we have been in.
We have really enjoyed all our exchanges and look forward to many more!

Lifestyle

We like to travel and experience other countries and cultures. We feel fortunate to have been able have such great experiences by exchaning houses with other families arround Europe. Now that our boys are a bit bigger it would be interesting to see countries outside Europe with them. They love travelling! But Europe and Sweden is also good. As long as we have some variation and see something more than Gothenburg, we are happy.
Our exchanges: 2005 Swizerland, 2006 England, 2007 France, 2008 Denmark, 2009 Belgium, 2011 Germany, 2012 England, 2014 Germany, 2015 Canada, The Nederlands 2016, Switzerland 2017, Costa Rica 2018
