About the neighborhood
Ventura is a historical coastal city, 40 km south of Santa Barbara;100 km north of Los Angeles; Universal Studios, Hollywood, approx.1 hour away. Getty Museum 50 min, Disneyland approx 2 hrs away. Las Vegas approx. 5 hours by car or 1 hour by air. Ventura has a very temperate climate-approx average is 18 to 22 degrees C.
There are numerous wineries in our area and nearby which offer tours and tasting.
There are whale watching excursions off our coast to the nearby Channel Islands.
A new public aquatic center, with olympic size pools, has recently been completed. It is approx. 1 km from our house.
