1 story house in Flagstaff, USA

We have a 2300 sq.ft. home in a quiet Flagstaff, Arizona neighborhood. From our home, it is an easy drive to many Southwest U.S. destinations.

At 7,000 feet elevation, Flagstaff (population 53,000) is adjacent to the largest contiguous Ponderosa Pine forest in North America. The area around Flagstaff is described as a high altitude semi-desert. With its cool summer weather, Flagstaff (http://www.flagstaffarizona.org/) is the ideal starting point from which to explore our exciting region. The Grand Canyon (130 km) is our most famous nearby wonder, but certainly not the only one. Among them are Sedona, Meteor Crater, the San Francisco Peaks, Wupatki National Monument, Sunset Crater, and the Navajo and Hopi Native American communities.

Phoenix (130 km south), Albuquerque (402 km east) and Los Angeles (805 km west) are the nearest major airports. Smaller commercial planes fly directly into our local airport. Flagstaff can also be reached by rail from either the east or west.

Our home is an easy walk from downtown Flagstaff (1.5 km). Three bedrooms, two baths, a family room and modern kitchen provide a comfortable home base for exploring Northern Arizona. The large fenced yard offers plenty of privacy and a quiet place to enjoy our summer flowers and vegetable garden.

Our family includes Allen and Diane, our son Michael (age 21), and a dog and a cat. We plan to make arrangements for the dog to be away during home exchange. If possible, we would appreciate it if our partners would be willing to feed the cat. She comes in and out on her own, so feeding and occasional petting are her only requirements.

We have completed two successful home exchanges-one with Intervac. We welcome the opportunity to share the beauty of our region!
