Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Orly / CDG - 20mn / 45mn by car

  • shopping Supermarket (0.2 km)

Not so far from Notre Dame, but other points of interest in the neighbourhood...

Chinatown
At 15/20 minutes far from home, you can go to the Paris Chinatown (Avenue d'Ivry and Avenue de Choisy).
A stop at the Tang brothers’ is mandatory (main supermarket of Chinese products in France), a few art shops and many Asian restaurants.

François Mitterand great Library and Parc de Bercy
If you walk down the street to the square Heloise and Abellard (square fun for children) and after crossing Rue Nationale, you’ll reach a temporary bridge that will allow you to go over the railway and arrive directly at the Bibliothèque François Mitterrand (about 15/20 minutes from home). Here you can decide to visit the library or to go to the movies (big cinema MK2) or you can continue your way and take the bridge which crosses the Seine and that goes directly to the Parc de Bercy. This is a large park (playground, beautiful gardens including a rose garden) that takes you over quarter St Emilion (restaurants, wine cellars, shops and even a cinema UGC).

Paris Mosque and Botanical Gardens
15 mins from the house, if you cross the Boulevard de l'Hopital and then walk down the Rue Jeanne d'Arc, you can go to have a mint tea at the Paris Mosque (beautiful building) and enjoy delicious pastries. Then go to the Botanical Gardens (in front). In addition to the Jardin des Plantes (high biodiversity) you also have a zoo (the Menagerie), the Natural History Museum.
If you enjoy walking, you can continue the walk by walking on the banks of the Seine to Notre Dame.

Manufacture des Gobelins
10 mins from home, you can visit the “Manufacture des Gobelins” (royal tapestries). Historic and commercial area with one cinema.
