View from our nice house in the centre of Amsterdam
In a a few minutes walk from our house you are at Dam-square where settlers founded Amsterdam 740 years ago. Our house is a three storey apartment in a quiet street. On the roof we have a big sunny terrace with a really nice view over the canal.
Our house is an 3-floor apartment on the second floor of the building. On the entrance you will find the kitchen, the living-room and toilet. The second floor has two bedrooms and bathroom, the third floor is a big room with a double bed, tv-set and access to the rooftop terrace. The whole house is light and spacious.

Our Neighbourhood

Our house is situated in the hart of old Amsterdam. When you'll arrive by train it's a ten minutes walk from the central station. You can still see the remnants of the 16th century harbor by old warehouses and docks. The national maritime museum is a 5 minutes walk, the science museum even closer and when you go to the south you're in five minutes in Rembrandt's former house or the Waterloo market. Though you are in a big city we live in very quiet street and have a nice small square/park behind the house.
Our house is a great place to explore the great offerings of Amsterdam (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh, Stedelijk Museum, Anne Frank House, Red Light District, shops, etc). When you stay longer you could easily visit Amsterdam beach, Amsterdam Castle in Muiden, the forrest, Zaanse Schans and Keukenhof.

About Our Family
We are a family of four, all born and raised in Amsterdam. Heleen works for the Montessori colleges in Amsterdam as ICT professional. Diederik works at the Dutch public broadcaster. Casper and Elisabeth are going to school. We love the cultural live Amsterdam has to offer.
Lifestyle
We like to cook and have a nice equipped kitchen; washing machine, blender, kitchen-aid, espresso-machine (no microwave). We like to read, playing games, watching movies/series. We like to listen and to make music.
In Amsterdam you don't need a car so we do everything by bicycle. We like to visit museums. In the summer we like to camp and do some hiking. Last winter we went skiing for the first time and we really enjoyed it.
