Schleedorf, Østerrike

We are a family of 5 and live in a large farmhouse (220m²) which was completely renovated in 2015. On the main floor there is an open living-dining-kitchen in one room. Instead of a common TV you can watch movies in the Iiving room via beamer and amazon prime. Upstairs you can find 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We love playing board games, therefore we have a lot of them for all ages. Of course we have also many toys indoor and outdoor.

The house is surrounded by a big fenced garden with a playground for children (swing, slide, playhouse, trampoline, sand pit) and a big terasse (east, south and west) were you can have a barbecue. In the summer our small pool (4 x 2 m) brings a lot of fun for the whole family :) On the northern side of our house there is a stable with about 30 goats living inside and outside it. Of corse the care for those animal will not be your assignment!

Our house is located in Schleedorf, a small village with about one thousend inhabitants 20 km away from Salzburg city. We have one small shop for essential goods in schleedorf. A walk there will take you about 15 minutes. The next bigger shops can be found in 10 minutes by car. The next bus stop is close to our house - 2 minutes by foot, but there is no public traffic on Sunday. You reach a railway station along the „Westbahn“ within 10 minutes which brings you to Salzburg city (20 min) or even to Austrias capital vienna (3 houres).

The region is perfect for all kind of outside activities: You can swim, relax or rent a boat at the different lakes nearby (10 min by car). If you want to do some hiking you are in 30 minutes in the mountains of the Salzkammergut. You can go cycling, we have 2 adult bikes, different bikes for kids, a bike trailer for 2 kids (Croozer) and a bike seat. In winter you can go skiing, the next skiing area is 35 minutes by car. You can also go cross-country skiing, there starts a path 1 km away from our house.

The historic center of Salzburg with its fortress is perfect for sight seeing.
You can find a lot of different attractions in and around salzburg: the salzburg festival, different museums, a zoo, ice caves, cable cars to different mountains, salt mines, a theme park,...

If we decide to exchange cars, we have a "Kia ceed sw" for you, including different child seats for all ages.
If needed, please use our baby stuff (baby bed, highchair, buggy,...).

Our home is perfect for families with kids. We ONLY search exchange partners with children in approximately the same age as ours.
