About the neighborhood
la casa si trova tra Alghero e Fertilia in una zona residenziale. Nelle vicinanze c'è un parco giochi per bambini, campi da tennis, una pineta che si estende per 3 Km che costeggia la spiaggia di Maria Pia. La zona è tranquilla, silenziosa perfetta per riposarsi.
La casa dista due chilometri dal centro di Alghero raggiungibile a piedi o in bicicletta (pista ciclabile); ci sono due fermate di mezzi pubblici a meno di 100metri dalla casa

Pietro Franco and Giuliana were excellent exchange partners. All our communication was in Italian which was a great opportunity for me to practice! Giuliana answered all my questions promptly. She even got a cafetiere for me. There were welcome drinks and fruit, home made marmalade etc. We were able to meet, because we arrived before they left. So we were able to make a connection between Cork Yacht club and Alghero, for them, because it was obvious that they are huge fans and competent sailors! We loved the courtyard where we also met the lovely neighbours (family). We used the bikes to get around, to go to the centre and for shopping. The Wednesday market, nearby is huge! Our house was perfect on our return.
