A traditional English seaside holiday on the South Coast

There’s so much to do in Sunny Worthing!

Take a stroll from the house to the beach, grab some fish and chips and an ice cream, play at the amusement arcade, walk along the pier, go for a swim, and watch the sun set over the water.

Worthing has so much in terms of entertainment - 2 cinemas, a bowling alley, a modern swimming pool, go-karting, watersports, theatres, a museum, laser tag, pottery painting, escape rooms, shopping, bike hire, a soft play centre and plenty of children’s playgrounds.

We also have some amazing restaurants, cafés and pubs!

Put on your walking boots and explore the beauty of South Downs. We are very close to Cissbury Ring - an Iron Age fort with fantastic views and a herd of grazing wild ponies.

For a nice dose of history, Arundel Castle is just a short car trip away (8miles).

Also a great base for visiting Brighton (11miles).

Fantastically placed for day trips to London, Brighton, Chichester, Southampton and Portsmouth. We are very close to the train station and there are direct trains to all these places - it’s so easy!

There really is something for all ages and all budgets!! Please get in touch if you’d like to know more about things to do on your holiday.

We live in a typical English 1930s house:

The house has a large open-plan kitchen/dining/living room with patio doors that lead to the garden. We have a dishwasher.

Garden - sofa style patio furniture, a fire bowl, a picnic bench and a children’s playhouse with slide and swings.

Lounge - this is a separate lounge we use for watching TV. This room has double sofa-bed.

Utility Room/downstairs toilet - with a washing machine.

Upstairs bathroom - toilet and a bath with shower over.

Bedroom 1: sleeps 2 (1x double bed)
Bedroom 2: sleeps 2 (1x bunk beds)
Bedroom 3: sleeps 4 (2x single beds and 1x bunk beds)
Additional sofa bed (sleeps 2) in separate lounge downstairs.

Private driveway and free, unreserved on-street parking.

About Our Family

Hi!

We are James and Sally and our two children (7 and 5).

For most of the year we host teenage language students from all over the world so we are very used to having visitors in our home!

We are new to home exchanges but have stayed in many family homes via Air BnB and are always respectful of the property :)

We’d love to visit places in England and Europe that have plenty of things to do to occupy the children!

For August 2020 we would like Europe too. But we’d also be up for something further afield for 2-3 weeks.
