Bruges is the capital of West Flandres. It is a medieval city, that you can visit easely by bike. There you find history, cultur, recreations, theatre, library, cinema,.... "the Venice of the nord"
Nearby we have also a lot of nature for walking, bycicling, listen to the birds, ...
The seaside is at 20 km of our house. There you have a lot of villages and towns; all different one from another. Knokke is very mondaine, with a lot of shops for clothes, arts, nature, ... and always open! Seabruges is a 100 years old seaport. There is also a larges beach, splendid for families (wilth toilets, showers, ...) De Haan is a pittoresque belle epoque city. Just see the magnificant buildings. Blankenberge and Oostend have both a seaport, and unique in the world a big "pavement" where you can walk in, on the sea. In Blankenberge you can drink or eat something at the end of the "pier/pavement".
Ghent, Brussels, Antwerp, the Netherlands, France,....you can reach this cities or countries in less than an hour driving.
