Victorian House in Brighton, Close to London, Great Britain.

Brighton is a fantastic university city in the south east of England.
Our home is a 3 storey Victorian Terraced house built in 1896 and renovated in 2000. It is in the popular Fiveways “conservation area". Our house is on 3 floors and has 3 double bedrooms with a super king, king and double mattresses. 2 of the bedrooms have X Boxes. We have converted another bedroom into a study/computer room and there are 2 bathrooms. We added a dining room 2 years ago which has bifold doors on 2 sides. When the weather is warm the whole room can be opened up. Our house has all modern amenities with 2 log burning stoves and stripped wooden floors. We have a 7 seat car and several bicycles available for use. We have lots of family and friends on hand if needed.  Our house is very close to a large park and 15/20 minutes walk from the centre of Brighton. There is a bus stop outside our house. We are 25 miles from Gatwick Airport and about 2 hours from Heathrow Airport. Central London can be reached by train in 45 minutes.

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: London Gatwick -

Brighton is one of England's favourite cities on the south coast, 50 miles south of London, which is 45 minutes away by train. Obviously London can be all consuming but Brighton has plenty to offer: its beautiful Regency architecture and its famous Royal Pavilion. There are lots of trendy restaurants, cafes and shopping areas. Brighton is often referred to as alternative and bohemian. Some people call it London by the sea but it has the advantage of being surrounded by some beautiful, classic English countryside.
It is a great place to come and learn English as there are a wide variety of English courses available for all ages. As an English teacher with over 20 years experience of teaching English to both adults and children, Rebecca can give advice on courses in Brighton and help with organising them if you need her to.

About Our Family

There are four of us. Rebecca is an English teacher. Charlie is an organic food importer / wholesaler . Sam aged 18 and Barney aged 16 enjoy cycling and exploring in the countryside. We have 1 friendly cat that only needs feeding. He can also be easily restricted to the kitchen and garden area if required.

Lifestyle

We are a family who like to travel and have completed 5 exchanges with Intervac to France, Sweden, Poland, The USA and South Africa. We hope to arrange a trip to Australia in the future and to the city of New York if we are lucky enough to find exchanges.
