Flat in Tarragona, Spain

We are living in Tarragona, a city of about 100.000 habitants on the Mediterranean coast 100 km Southwest from Barcelona. Our flat with sea sight has 140m2 with large terasses on two levels. In less than 10 wlaking minutes you are on the beach. Tarragona is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Set on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean, Tarragona was once the important Roman city of Tarraco. Its ancient ruins are quite extensive and include an amphitheatre, a forum, a theatre, and a long stretch of defensive walls. Outside the city centre are a beautiful aqueduct and a triumphal arch. Tarragona also has a medieval town and museums of art and archaeology.

Our Neighbourhood

Tarragona is a good base to visit some other sites in southern Catalonia.  Barcelona is easily reached in one hour by train. If you're looking for sun and fun, the coast here has good beaches and kids will love Port Aventura, a Universal Studios theme park. Or you could take a cultural excursion and visit some historic monasteries. The most well-known is the Cistercian monastery of Poblet, which has a 12th-century church, royal pantheon, and peaceful cloisters.
