Attractive home in Tollebeek, Netherlands

We live in Tollebeek, a rural village in the middle of the Netherlands. It’s a nice house with a big garden. We have a chicken and 2 cats. The chicken sitting in a run at the back of our garden. We would appreciate it when you want to give our pets eat occasionally. When you go through the garden gate goes, you come to a large lawn with football goals and a tennis net, where neighbouring children play with each other. You can enjoy cycling through the vast lands of Flevoland with the typical windmills. Also take a walk through the forest belongs to the possibilities. When you tired after a day arrive in Tollebeek for a snack and ice cream, you can relax on the terrace of the snack bar. For groceries there is a supermarket in the village. Other shops, theater, cinema, swimming pool, restaurants, etc. can be found in Emmeloord or Urk. Both at a distance of 5 km. from Tollebeek. There are several beaches at a distance of 4-9 km. In our house are four bedrooms and a children's playroom. We have multiple tv' s, a DVD-player, X-box and Wii with many games. Board games and all kinds of children's toys. Inside is a swing. In the garden a trampoline, sandbox and all kinds of outdoor toys. You can also use our gas grill. Tollebeek is a small town in the northern part of the Netherlands. The surroundings are excellent for cycling trips. Interesting places are: Urk, a picturesque old fisherman’s village, In Harderwijk is the Dolfinarium, a sea world attraction park with a dolphin show. And Amsterdam with its beautiful museums is only one hour by car. Very nearby, 27 km, is Giethoorn. A very nice place where you have a lot of water activities. What internet wrote about the place: The small village of Giethoorn is located in the North of Overijssel (45 minutes to the east of Tollebeek), in the centre of De Wieden nature reserve and close to De Weerribben National Park. The charming village of Giethoorn is characterised by its many canals, quaint high bridges and farmhouses with thatched roofs. In combination with the natural beauty of the area, this picturesque entourage has earned the nickname “The Green/ Dutch Venice”. Giethoorn has everything to offer for young and old. In this little village you can go around the village by boat (rent your own motorboat for a small price). Or you can rent a boat and go fishing or swimming in the lake! There are still unique sites to discover by boat, on foot or by bicycle. 12 Km is Kraggenburg. In the middle of the woods you have the ability to do some “klootschieten” an old dutch game, midgetgolf, instead of a nice walk in the woods you can take a step or a mountain bike. The orchid farm is in a distance of 10 km in Luttelgeest. It has lots of beautiful flowers for sale and a big garden where you can see millions of orchids. It also has the biggest butterfly park in Europe. We also live nearby (4 km.) a big lake, The IJsselmeer. It has lot’s of options for swimming, fishing, sailing and other activities on the water. Nearby the IJsselmeer is a little town called Urk. It is a very nice place to visit. It’s a very wellknown fishertown and it used to be an Island. It has a lot of history in it. It is very old and life is still very traditional. The fish tastes wonderful! North from us is the province Friesland (about 1/2 hour away). It is wellknown for its lakes which are great places for any kind of watersports. Along the coast you also will find some interesting small villages with i.e. handpainted china and different crafts. 20 Minutes south of us you can find the small town of Kampen. A beautifull dutch town which is very nice to visit for a stroll. Or continue 15 more minutes and you'll find yourself in Zwolle, with its nice shoppingstreets. In Harderwijk is the Dolfinarium, a sea world attraction park with a dolphin show. And Amsterdam with its beautiful museums is only one hour by car. Approximately 45 minutes to the west there is a very nice town called Enkhuizen. A very nice place to walk around. You can also take a ferry from Urk, which is a nice day tour. One of the very positive things of living in the middle of Holland is that everything is very nearby. Amsterdam a great city with a lot of things you can do. It’s just one hour drive. Rotterdam a modern town with some spectacular architecture is just 1,5 hour drive. Also 1,5 hours drive is Den-Haag where you can take a look in the politicians daily jobs From Emmeloord you can come to many beautiful or interesting places within 1 hour. • Up north, direction Lemmer/Groningen: Lemmer is a nice small town, to walk through. Hindelopen & Stavoren, along the coast, are very beautiful typical Dutch villages. Leeuwarden is a great city for shopping. • East, direction Marknesse, you can visit Kalenberg, a small town, if you like to be on the water by kano or small motorboat, in a very quiet area. Giethoorn is called the Dutch Venice, great to visit & rent a boat. • South, direction Zwolle, you can visit Kampen, an old town, with beautiful houses. Zwolle a little further has some nice shopping streets. Better for shopping is Apeldoorn, where you also can visit a palace or the Apenheul, a place where monkeys walk free. • West, direction Lelystad, Enkhuizen is a very nice little town. Here you find the Zuiderzeemuseum, a great outdoor museum to spend a day, if you like to know more about the Netherlands. Also a very nice museum for small children, Sprookjeswonderland • Amsterdam is only 1 hour away, direction Lelystad. If you do not like to drive through the city, follow the signs, when close to the city, Arena (footballstadium) or P + R. From there you can go to the citycentre by underground.
