Family home in the Netherlands at a perfect location.
Malden is a small, green village, close to the city Nijmegen and the German border. The forest and moorland are on walking distance and there are indoor- and outdoor swimming pools and recreational lakes (swimming, sailing, water skiing) in the area. Malden has a small shopping mall, several restaurants and a cinema (movies here are subtitled, not dubbed). You can reach everything on foot or by bike. The bus stop is 5 minutes away and from there you’ll be in the centre of Nijmegen within 15 minutes. Nijmegen is the oldest city of the Netherlands and great for going out, shopping and cultural visits. Other cities that might be worth visiting: Arnhem (40km), 's Hertogenbosch (50km), Amsterdam (130 km), Cologne (Germany, 145km) and Brussels (Belgium, 195km). If you desire a car exchange, it is easiest to fly to Weeze Airport (Germany), or otherwise to Eindhoven, Rotterdam, Amsterdam (all in the Netherlands) or Dusseldorf International (Germany).
We find our terraced house very comfortable. We have a flat screen tv, dishwasher, oven, microwave, bathroom with double sink, toilet and a shower facility in the bathtub. This is what you'll find on our address:
After entering the front door, you go right into our living or straight up the stairs. The kitchen and the living are combined. There’s a door to a small pantry and to the downstairs toilet. There’s also a backdoor to the garden. In the garden there’s a table and chairs where we often have dinner in summer. There’s a small lawn and the possibility of hanging up a hammock. In the shed there are two bicycles and two childrens' bikes. We can always try to arrange more- or bigger bikes if desired. The garden is fully fenced and behind the garden is a small playground.
On the first floor you’ll find the bathroom, two childrens’ bedrooms and the parental room. In the attic there’s a washing machine and a dryer, as well as clotheslines. There’s also a fourth bedroom with a small (120x190) double bed.
We have a rabbit in our garden. It would be great if you could take care of her, but not a problem if you wish not to.

About Our Family
We're both secondary school teachers. We have the school holidays off and hope to find an exchange partner within these weeks. We're also open to weekend exchanges within two hours.
Lifestyle
We like to cook and eat together. In our spare time we like to go hiking or cycling. There are a couple of fun in- and outdoor playgrounds that we like to visit with our kids and sometimes we go swimming.
