House in Bellingham, USA

We are located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest of the United States - half-way between Seattle, Washington (www.seattle.org and www.experiencewa.com)  and Vancouver, British Columbia (www.vancouver.ca). We are 30 minutes south of the Canadian border. To learn more about Bellingham, please visit http://www.cob.gov/ and www.bellingham.org.
BELLINGHAM is a charming college town (Western Washington University) of about 85,000 people. The city is located on the water (Bellingham Bay) with easy access by ferry to the San Juan Islands and Victoria, BC. There is also direct ferry service from Bellingham to Alaska. (Amtrak train and Greyhound bus also stop here.) Bellingham is known for its extensive system of walking/bicycling trails and its incredible water and mountain views. We are located near two major ski centers - Mt. Baker and Whistler (site of the 2010 Winter Olympics). We are also about 1.5 hours drive from North Cascades National Park. Our area is famous for its hiking, boating, and wilderness opportunities.
We live in a centrally located, two-story, cozy home with 2-bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We have a deck great for summer BBQs with a lush garden, and a balcony off the master bedroom.
One of us is retired, and the other of is is self-employed. Our children are grown, so we are free to make our own schedules and can travel when we wish. We are very flexible. We are also open to a long term exchange of up to a year.
