House in BEAUNE, France
Welcome to Beaune, capital of Burgundy wines. Beaune is a city of art, second to none : Hôtel-Dieu, Collegiale Basilica,...
Former residence of the Dukes of Burgundy, Beaune still has many town houses from the middle Ages. The belfry, a clock tower from the 14th C.in a Flemish style, lights up at night. Built in the Midle Ages, the ramparts are a lovely place for a walk and the Bouzaise park, hundred-year old trees too. There is a pond for rowing boats.
Founded in 1443 by N. Rollin, chancellor of the Duke of Burgundy, to help the needy, the Hôtel-Dieu is a gothic palace, its main yard is remarkable thanks to the roof made of glazed tiles. Its masteriece : the polyptych "the Last Judgment by Rogier Van der Weyden.
In the ramparts, underneath a convent, the cellars are everywhere. A surprising architecture, a timeless atmosphere...In Beaune, the wine companies form a part of the architectural heritage.
For cycling, take the vineyards crossing winegrowers'villages. Several circuits to do, departing from the Bouzaise park. Walks overlooking the vineyards and offering view points on Pommard or Savigny les Beaune. I've got all the circuits in the map "Walkin the countryside"

And concerning us :
Our house is situated in a small street, our neibourghs, at right are very simpatical (but always absent during hollidays) and at left it'sa silent wine warehouse. Music : we've got a piano and a marimba. I'm Cecilia, I am 52 years old, Corentin is 15, he's an excellent student and loves travelling. We like walking in the country, in the citiy. My two others sons are students(Olivier,22 : oenology, and Dorian, 20 : sociology, they live in their own student's appartment).
We need to exchange with a flat, or a house, in a town, because I want to travel with bus, tramway, or by feet ...I don't like to drive, and we used to travel by train or air-plane. I loan you my car ! (Megane Renault automatic)
We would be glad if you have the desire to come in our house with our lovely garden and our (very) lovely cat.
