Bright residential south-facing apartment in a quiet complex in the centre of the university town of Maynooth 25 km from Dublin. All facilities within walking distance and excellent public transport 5-10 minutes' walk away. Main bedroom with double bed and en-suite shower and toilet. Second bedroom with twin beds that can be pushed together or separated. Small balcony sunny almost all day with a view of the tree-lined university grounds.

About the neighborhood

Lively university town very popular with Erasmus students, particularly from France. There is a range of supermarkets and groceries including an outstanding fishmonger and an excellent greengrocer. Wide range of restaurants, cafes and pubs. Buses and trains to Dublin every 30 minutes.
Lovely walks in the extensive wooded university grounds, in the grounds of Carton House (an old stately home, now a luxury hotel) and golf courses and along the Royal Canal greenway, all of which are within 10 minutes' walk of the apartment.
Excellent direct transport connections to Sligo (by train) and Galway (by bus) in the west of Ireland. Direct bu from Dublin airport.

Kathleen's home is a modern 2-bedroom apartment in the centre of Maynooth. The apartment is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with plenty of light from its elevated location. As book-lovers we enjoyed that the apartment has many bookshelves full of books in a range of languages including English, Irish, French and Dutch. The apartment complex sits above a shopping centre containing a large supermarket which covers all needs. In addition there are numerous places to eat out nearby. Maynooth is a historic university town. Within a few minutes from the apartment you can walk to Maynooth Castle or explore the grounds of Maynooth University. Maynooth is located on the Grand Canal. We took our bikes and cycled to a neighbouring town along the canal. Maynooth is also on the suburban train network of Dublin and the city centre can be reached with a 40-minute train journey.
