Holiday home in Sintra, Portugal
Our home is located near the Atlantic seaside, nearby Sintra, the "capital of the Romanticism", UNESCO heritage town. (http://www.sintraromantica.net/) Here you may enjoy not only the sea and the sun, but also the rich culture of Sintra, while being just 40 minutes away from the Lisbon city centre. The area is well known for the excellent fish and seafood restaurants and there is plenty to explore in the neighbouring Sintra-Cascais natural park if you like hiking and being in the nature. Sintra features a number of palances and historical monuments that are well worth the visit.
The house sits less than a kilometer away from Praia Grande and some 15km away form Ericeira, home to some of the hottest surf spots in Portugal.
Estoril-Cascais is just 30 minutes away and offers a multitude of restaurants and cultural events throughout the year (https://www.cascaisportugaltourism.com/).

About the neighborhood
The house is set on a small neighbourhood built in the late 90s. All the properties are either occupied by families that spend their year in the area or otherwise visit them during the weekend or in the holidays. The property is located within the Sintra-Cascais national park, mostly surrounded by pinetrees. The nearest village is Praia das Maçãs (Apple's Beach), located approximately 1km away (a 15-minute walk or 4 minute drive will get you to the centre). Sintra is approximately 15 minutes away, while Cascais would take 30 minutes. There are a number of beaches to explore in this area, either going south towards Guincho or north to Ericeira.

Adriano is the father and Pedro is the son. We often travel together and sometimes we just take turns at exchanging on Intervac. Adriano is a retired doctor. Pedro is a structural engineer living in London. Sara is Pedro's girlfriend and she works in finance.
