Flat in Stockholm, Sweden + access to summer house 1-hour drive north of Stockholm
We offer our 5-room apartment in Stockholm as well as access to our cozy summer house in Roslagen, a coastal area 1 hour drive north of Stockholm.
Our apartment is just south of the inner city of Stockholm and is a 15-minute metro journey from the city centre. It is back-toback with a nature reserve (Nacka naturreservat), with a large forest area full of hike and bike trails, a small golf course, lakes and swimming opportunities. It's a 5-room apartment, one floor up (no elevator) with a balcony, in a classic Swedish "folkhem" ("people's home") suburb built in the 1940s, and close (500 meters) to a subway station with grocery store and with good possibilities for children’s play in several parks around. The apartment has three bedrooms, one with a double bed and two with single beds, plus an office with a daybed.
The summer house is a located on a hill in a summer house area with a beautiful lake within walking distance and forests with lots of walking trails. The house was recently extended, it is comfortable with three smaller bedrooms and two larger spaces to relax, well-equipped kitchen and a large wooden patio. There are many nice and interesting places to visit nearby, such as the picturesque town Norrtälje, the archipelago, or the old foundry at Wira bruk.

About the neighborhood
Stockholm is popular among tourists with many shopping opportunities, great museums and nice parks. Located on several islands, it's always close to water and greenery despite being a big city. It is also a good family vacation destination with its beautiful archipelago, easily reached by ferries that go all day. There are many possibilities for interesting day trips: explore the big lake Mälaren, the extensive network of forest trails in the region, take the ferry to the Viking island Birka, visit the university town of Uppsala, or make a bit longer journey by ferry to Gotland, Åland, or Finland.
We live 500 meters from the subway and a small local centre with a grocery store and pharmacy, a few restaurants, cafés and bars. The nature reserve with its forest trails starts just outside our house! With a 5-10 minute trip my metro you are in Södermalm, the nicest part of inner city Stockholm, with great shopping, cafés and restaurants.
The summer house is located in the summer house area Svensboda, which is close to the sea but still rather "deep" into the forest with many trails and chances to spot wild animals and find mushrooms and berries. There is a nice lake within walking distance, with two dedicated swimming areas with easy access. Bergshamra, the closest village with a grocery, pizzeria, and gas station, is a 10-minute drive away. Further afield you can visit the picturesque town Norrtälje or the old foundry at Wira bruk.

We really enjoyed our stay in Stockholm. the lovely apartment was a great base to explore the city, and was very close to the metro station. it was also a short walk to an interesting area with sauna, swimming and restaurants. We also loved our visit to the summerhouse. It was great to explore this area as well, and a nice contrast to the city.

We are a family of four: two adults, Emilia and Martin, and our two children, Eli and Joar, 19 and 14 years old. We also have a cat, Sonja, who can either be with you or with friends of us.
