The town of villach is in the south of austria (vienna 360 km, salzburg 180 km) - province carinthia - beetween many lakes and mountaines. In the winter you can go skiing, ice-skating…. in the summer you can go to one of the many lakes (there are more than 10 in the surounding area), hiking, climbing, bicycle tours or trips to other countries.
Villach is 20 km from the border to italy and slovenja. It takes you around 180km to the beaches in italy, venice 220 km, firence 500 km, lublijana 100 km, vienna 360 km, salzburg 180 km, munich 300 km......
Our home is in the urban area of villach (60.000 habitants). On our property are two houses, next to the main house, our guest house (and possible your next summer residence) is located. We can accommodate up to 5 people.
You have one bathroom, two sleeping rooms (open design), kitchen, living room in the first floor, living room with internet at the ground floor and a terrace with the view on the swimming pool (8x4m). We have 2 cars and 2 bicycles.
As we live in the main house, exchanges can be done anytime - we don`t have to make a exchange at the same time; we can arrange many things for you - at the time you are living in our house.
AVAILABILITY:
a.) by car - there all highways to our home
b.) by train - villach is a main train-station from german, svitzerland, italy..... (10 min from home)
c.) by plan - you can find flights by ryanair to the aeroports of venice, treviso, memingen, klagenfurt, trieste or by easy yet by Lublijana
CHANGING time: If you would rather come to another appointment, there is no problem; the house is empty most of the time. If we come in summer and you prefer to ski in winter, no problem.

About the neighborhood
in the urban area of our home are more than 10 lakes (from a small one up to lakes with a size of more than 20 km); many mountaines (2000 m-3000m) where you can go skiing in the winter or hiking, climbing in the summer;
in our country are many ways only for bicycle tourists.
we are living approx. 20 km from the board from italy or slovenja where you can go for shopping, visit sights, eating, hiking ..... or you make only holydays in our garden with to sun, swimming or barbecue.

La casa responde fielmente a lo mostrado en Intervac. La familia anfitriona mostró con los huéspedes una actitud extraordinaria y sensible haciendo de nuestra estancia en Villach una fantástica expeciencia.
Famille adorable et très chaleureuse. Nous avons passé 2 jours avec eux dans leur maison. Nous avons occupé une petite maison annexe de leur grande maison sur un grand terrain avec une piscine. Annonce très précise.
We hosted this couple who are French, but drove to us from Canada after visiting with their daughter who is studying there. I think perhaps they were not feeling well, or not comfortable enough with English, but we found them to be unhappy generally. Not engaging about themselves, their touring or anything really. I fixed for them a five course breakfast each day, giving them the chance to walk it off and not have to stop to eat until later in the day. Yet I sensed not any thanks or gratitude. He is glutton intolerant and I spent a good deal of time and energy to provide 6 different breakfasts that were glutton free. They provided no gift, altho we do ask for a fee when there is not even exchange, but even the day they left, they seemed to be leaving without even saying good bye. After they ate they just left everything on the table and went about their own affairs. Very unusual for Intervac families. So I think they were both ill and preoccupied. At no time did they even acknowledged enjoying their time touring NY altho it was their first time in our city. Odd. They wrote in our guest book in French, and I had mentioned several times that I knew no French. It was a difficult week and I was glad when they were gone!
