2-storey old fisherman house, completely renovated, with two bedrooms with double beds. 150 meters from the beach and 20 minutes from the center of Barcelona by train or metro. We only accept exchanges with Europe.
Our home is located in the old and centric neighbourhood of Badalona at 150 meters from the beach, it is an old fishing house that was built in 1851, it has the external and internal features of the traditional Catalan architecture.
The surface are 136 m2 distributed in 3 floors and a little garden and two little terraces (one of them is a solarium). The house has 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms -1 of them in mezzanine- with 1 double bed (width 135 and 120 cm) in each one, living room, dining room, kitchen, and working space placed in the attic. It can acommodate up to 4 people.
We are at a stone's throw from Barcelona, just 20-30 minutes by metro or train. And in Badalona you will be in the heart of the city, in a pedestrian street with nice neighbourhood.
From our home you can go, in 5 minutes by foot, to:
-All kind of shops, supermarkets, bakeries, ecologic food shops
-City Market
-Restaurants, bars, terraces at the seaside
-Train and underground
-Beach and pathway next to the sea
We'll leave you a brochure with lots of activities to do, such as interesting places to visit, excursions and hiking plans. And plenty of information of unmissable places in Barcelona.
With any kind of service at some minutes our home maintains its calm as it's placed in a pedestrian street. As you have the train station near the house going to Barcelona takes only some minutes.
Catalonia is a very diverse country: cosmopolitan cities, rich gastronomy, calm beaches and seasides, green mountains, historical architecture and ruins and state-of-the-art exhibitions and buildings. You can taylor your trip according to your preferences: sailoring, hiking, sightseeing, bathing,... almost everything can find it's place at our region!
Our family consists of Montserrat, Josep and our daugther Minerva who no longer lives with us but joins us in some of our trips.
We speak Catalan, official language of Catalonia. And also speak Occitan and Esperanto.

About the neighborhood
És un barri tranquil del centre de Badalona molt a prop de mar, gran part de barri és de vianants. És en una zona comercial, on abunda el petit comerç de proximitat, totes aquestes botigues estan a menys de 5 minuts de la casa.
El carrer on està situat casa nostra és molt petit, això afavoreix la proximitat i la bona relació amb els veïns.
It's a quiet neighborhood in the center of Badalona, very close to the sea. Much of the area is pedestrianized. It's in a commercial area with an abundance of small, local businesses; all of these shops are less than five minutes from the house.
The street on which our house is located is very small, which favors proximity and good neighbor relationships.

Une excellente maison, avec des pièces intéressantes de céramique artistique et très agréable à vivre. Au milieu des champs d'arbres fruitiers et de la nature. Si à un autre moment l'occasion de revenir se présente, nous serons heureux de renouveler l'échange.
La maison est très bien située pour visiter Barcelone et elle se situe à quelques pas de la mer ! L'accueil était parfait et la maison est conforme à l'annonce. Nous recommandons vivement cet échange et nous y retournerons avec plaisir si l'occasion se présente ! Notre maison était impeccable à notre retour. Merci pour ce bel échange !
Aldiberekoa ez den elkartruke baten lehen zatia da eta bikote euskaldun bat hartu dugu. Geroago bigarren zatia egingo dugu eta beraien etxera joango gara. Oso esperientzia aberasgarria izan da, izan ditugun elkarrizketetan interes komun asko ditugula ikusi baitugu, kulturalak zein politikoak, eta horrek elkarrekiko sinpatia handia piztu du. Aquesta hem fet la primera part d'un intercanvi no simultani i hem acollit a casa una parella basca. Més endavant farem la segona part i anirem nosaltres a casa d'ells. Ha estat una experiència molt enriquidora perquè en les converses que hem tingut hem vist que teníem molts interssos comuns, tant culturals com polítics, cosa que ha fet despertar una gran simpatia mútua. This is the first part of a non-simultaneous exchange and we have hosted a Basque couple. Later we will do the second part and we will go to their house. It has been a very enriching experience because in the conversations we have had we have seen that we have many common interests, both cultural and political, which has awakened great mutual sympathy.
Logement très agréable et très bien placé, proche de tout. Nous avons été très bien accueillis.
