A 4 bed detached house, 1750 sq feet, in a small and friendly estate (12 houses) approximately 10 minutes drive to Galway city and five minutes drive to nearest beaches.Modern comfortable home with all modern amenities on bus route. Peaceful back garden and patio for relaxation. Two bedrooms en-suite and two other bathrooms, and tvs to watch our wonderful Irish sports -hurling and gaelic football !

About the neighborhood
Our neighbourhood is on the outskirts of Galway city and quite near the countryside. It comprises of 12 bungalows, with a well maintained Green area opposite our house, where children play. We're 6 minutes walk to bus stop to city centre. We're also 5 minutes drive to local shops. Nearest swimming beaches are only 4km / 10 minutes drive away as is our "Promenade", a highlight of Galway. We are 3 hours drive from Dublin our Capital city and 3 hours to Cork city.

Our exchange worked out great. The house was very comfortable and situated in a great quiet location. Every mod con available. Our exchange friends were very accommodating in every way. Not only that, we came home to a sparkling house! Couldn't recommend it enough.

We had a lovely exchange with a very friendly family. Our apartment was pleasant and exactly as expected. Location and very good bus service also helped. Nice to return to our clean and tidy home.
La casa era fantastica , realmente en las fotos parecía más pequeña . Todo funcionaba pefectamente , absolutamente super limpio , en un barrio tranquilo con unos vecinos encantadores. Los antitriones nos dejaron información y algunas cosas necesarias y otras como regalo de bienvenida . Galway es un sitio estupendo al igual que Irlanda , sobre todo por sus habitantes . La casa es muy confortable y tranquila.

We are both semi retired and working part time as tutors in a third level college. We are keen travellers during holidays and love to explore new places. Our two grown up children now do their own thing on holidays, but occasionally like to join us. We have house swapped many times before and found it wonderful. We ideally would like a duration of approximately two to three weeks, but are quite flexible. There are many countries we would like to visit and look forward to hearing from you.
