A lovely old English cottage in the Royal Forest of Dean within the Wye Valley (AONB status).
We have a characterful, spacious old cottage with a large private garden in a safe village with local amenities. Lydbrook is a quiet location with river walks or canoe trips from the door. There is superb mountain bike trails and walks in this historic oak forest to suit all abilities, also hosting a variety of interesting local attractions. There is easy access to the Wye Valley and the Brecon Beacons a short drive away. Situated between three counties we have access to the towns of Hereford, Gloucester and Monmouth. Bristol, Bath, Birmingham and Cardiff are all approximately an hour away. London is three hours away by road or rail. Our home is in a beautiful location offering variety for families and those wanting access to a peaceful and unusual part of the British countryside. There is a take away Fish and Chip shop near the well stocked village shop. The most local pub has a great Indian Take Away and the beautiful riverside picnic/bbq area are all within a 2 min walk down the lane from the house.

A lovely family, a great welcome in a lovely house.
La casa y la familia fueron excelentes, la casa venía completamente bien reflejada en el anuncio. La casa estaba muy limpia y ordenada. El trato con la familia fue muy cordial y gratificante en todo momento. La única cosa a mejorar seria la situación geográfica de la casa, un entorno demasiado rural para nuestro gusto.
