We are looking for a summer exchange 2024 in the Maritimes. Denmark 2024-25 (one-week hospitality exchange for two), and a 2026 summer in Germany for six.
In Quebec's Monteregie, in the wonderful Village-Relais of Acton Vale, on an 2 acre treed lot, you will find our comfortable bungalow with attached garage. The ground floor includes living room, dining room and a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and a large bathroom. In the basement, you will find another bedroom, a large family room, a powder room and laundry.
Above the garage is a large independent studio with bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. The studio is connected to the rest of the house, but is has its own exterior entrance. Depending on your needs, you can have the main house and studio for a simultaneous exchange or the studio for a rental.
Outside we have a large deck, an above ground pool, paths through the trees, and two small ponds.
The property backs onto a farm and is very peaceful.

About the neighborhood
Acton Vale is a quiet town of 7500, that has all of the essentials: groceries, restaurants, a couple of boutiques, and a microbrewery and taproom.
There are many ways to stay active in Acton Vale with swimming, tennnis and pickleball courts, and kayaking and paddleboards in the summer, as well as skating and cross-country skiing in the winter. There is also a beautiful 27 hole golf course.
Acton Vale is at the mid-point of a 78km dedicated biking trail running.
In the Acton region, we have 40 independent agricultural producers offering a range of products including meats, poultry, dairy and vegtables, as well as wines and spirits.
A little further away, you can find the natural beauty of the Yamaska National Park (30 minutes) and downhill skiing at Bromont (45 minutes)

Living in Quebec since 2014, Don is originally from Ottawa and Claudia from Peru. They met completing graduate studies in Ottawa, where they started a family together. Bastien(21), Ella(20), and Thalia(17) are three well traveled and book loving youth.
