About the neighborhood
Our house lies 1h30 south of Paris, 10km north of the wild river Loire, in the Orleans forest, the largest public forest in France.
Two thousands people live in our little town, Vitry-aux-Loges. You can find there a few shops, two bakeries, a doctor, a pharmacy, the "canal d'Orléans" and its sluice... https://www.vitry-aux-loges.fr/
It's possible to ride a horse (3 km of our house) : https://www.krouge.fr/
Our hammock in the garden, our two electic bikes and two mountain bikes are at your service.
You can as well use our canoe to row on the Loire or on the lake : friends could help you to do that.
It's possible to swim in a lake, furnished with a beach and a little restaurant (2 km of our house) : https://www.valdeloire-foretdorleans.com/letang-de-la-vallee/ ; specifically pleasant in tne evening, when the beach is deserted
A little further you can visit the beautyful town of Orleans, and, of course, Paris.
Our Region contains many visitable castles, the largest zoo in France (https://www.zoobeauval.com/ ), the wonderful "Festival des jardins" of Chaumont (https://domaine-chaumont.fr/fr/festival-international-des-jardins )...

We had a really nice stay in this house in Vitry-aux-Loges. Everything was like we expected, based on the dialogue with the family before the exchange. They wanted us to have a nice stay and were very helpful. The sauna in the garden is wonderful! After the holidays, our own house was left in perfect condition. We warmly recommend an house exchange with Jocelyne and Christophe.
We had a wonderful time at the home of Jocelyn and Christophe, located in Vitry-aux-Loges, France. We actually were excited taking a new adventure in a small country village. The house was cozy and the large garden was great for our children to play at. Jocelyn and Christophe were really nice in all arrangements for our stay and even collected everything we needed for our youngest child. Through all our stay we had a good communications with them, we guided each other with all kind of things and they were really nice. We highly recommend staying at their little village country home, the environment and nature is really beautiful and it is charming to be located in the middle of a forrest. The lake nearby was also nice and good for sunbathing, playing and making good memories with the family. Also good to have short distance to larger towns / cities which we visited a lot too. When we left their house we focused on leaving everything clean and nice, and we also got our own house in that way too from them. Great to come home to our house in a clean and good condition. Our stay at this home was a wonderful time for our family, and leave us with a great memories from our staying in France. We can then for sure recommend this nice people to make an exchange with.
La maison correspondait à ce qui était annoncé. Nous avons vécu une magnifique expérience dans le village et avec les personnes qui y résidaient.

Nous vivons milieu de la fôret, avec des amis proches, dans un joli village animé .
Christophe, 61 years old, is maths teacher in a high school. Jocelyne, 62 years old, is adult trainer.
We have for participations in a home exchange : 1996 in Finland, 2006 in Germany, 2022 in Iceland, 2023 in Quebec, 2025 in Norway .
Notre sauna aménagé au fon de notre jardin est une belle expérience de repos et de ressourcement.
Our four children (Fred 32, Aurore 30, Eve 26 and Maëlys 24) don't participate to the exchange. They live their life.
Our cat "Oudji" live often ouside : it's cute .
