Roomy house in the green suburb of Bruges.
We live in a detached house in a quiet and green street. It is centrally located. There are bakery's and supermarkets near us. It takes you ten minutes by bike, or 30 minutes by foot, to go to the historical centre of Bruges. There is a busstop at 200m to take you to the centre or the railway station.
On the ground floor you can find a toilet, a spacious living room and a comfortable kitchen. Next to the kitchen is a terrace, wich is shady in the morning and evening, idealy to eat outside in the summer. At the back there are three rooms: a pantry (with a washing machine and a freezer), a leasure room (gaming, smart tv, boardgames, studie/working space) and an extra room with no purpose at this time. There is also a tiny space with the boiler and a tumble drier.
Upstairs, we have four bedrooms, a bathroom and bookshelfs. (Can you find the few english books we have?) All the bedrooms (except the master bedroom) have a washing table. In the bathroom you find a toilet, a bath and a shower cabin. The bathroom is fully functional, but needs to be upgraded.
There is wifi throughout the house, and we have roller blinds on every window. This way we can keep our rooms shady in the summer.
During the spring, summer and fall you'l find vegetables, herbes and berries in our garden. We are in the progress of renovating our garden shed and making a new terrace at the back of the garden. We will update our photo's as the works continues.

About the neighborhood
Bruges is the capital of West-Vlaanderen. It is centrally situated. The Belgian coastline is 15km from Bruges (max 45km). You can easily visit other towns by car (or public transport), f.e. Gent (45 min ride), Antwerp (45 min ride), Brussels (1hr), Paris (3hrs30min), Amsterdam (3hrs), ...
From our house you can make beautifull walks or bike rides in the fields, in the forrest or you can go visiting Damme or Sluis. At Bruges there is plenty to do: sports, dining, visiting museums, cinema, visiting breweries, playgrounds, shopping, swimming, escape-rooms and so on.
Brugge is de hoofdstad van West-Vlaanderen. Het is centraal gelegen. De kust bevindt zich op 15km (min.) tot 45km (max.). Met de auto of het openbaar vervoer kan je gemakkelijk andere steden bezoeken, bv Gent, Antwerpen, Brussel.
Vanuit ons huis kan je mooie wandelingen en fietstochten maken tussen de velden, het bos, naar Damme enzovoort.
In Brugge is er voor elk wat wils: restaurants, musea, cinema, brouwerijbezoek, speelpleinen, winkelen, zwembaden, escape-rooms enzovoort.

Er waren vlotte en aangename contacten. Ze waren behulpzaam. Het huis voldeed aan de verwachtingen.
Un séjour agréable, dans une maison lumineuse, ouverte sur l'extérieur. Le quartier est tranquille, avec des commerces à proximité. Le centre de Bruges est accessible en bus, avec un arrêt à une dizaine de minutes à pied. Autre option : garer son véhicule au parking payant de la gare et bénéficier du transport gratuit pour le conducteur et 3 passagers. Pour les familles avec des jeunes enfants, de belles aires de jeux pas loin, et à ne pas manquer la ferme de Assebroek. Nos hôtes nous avaient indiqué tous les lieux qu'ils pratiquaient avec leurs enfants lorsqu'ils étaient jeunes, et ont d'ailleurs eu la gentillesse de ressortir des jouets, des jeux pour notre venue.
Het was aangenaam om afspraken te maken met hen. De communicatie verliep vlot, het huis was netjes, enzovoort. de ligging van het huis en de nodige informatie die voorzien werd hielpen ons om er een leuke week van te maken.
De communicatie verliep vlot. Het huis was volgens de verwachtingen. Er lag een boek met wandelroutes, dat kwam ons heel goed van pas.

We are a family of five. We both work in the social non-profit youth care. Our children are 15, 17 and 19 years old. We have been living here for twelf years during wich we renovated our house. Some rooms are finished (living room, the bedrooms, kitchen, garden) and others are yet to do (bathroom, playroom, pantry)
Wij zijn een gezin van vijf. Wij werken beiden in de sociale sector. Onze drie kinderen zijn tussen 19 en 14 jaar. We wonen al ons hele leven in Brugge, waarvan de laatste twaalf jaar in dit huis.
Gaandeweg zijn we ruimtes aan het vernieuwen in ons huis. Sommige zijn reeds gedaan (bv de woonkamer, keuken en slaapkamers), andere moeten nog onder handen genomen worden (bv de badkamer, de speelkamer achterin, de berging).
