Beautiful desert modern home in the Greater Palm Springs, California area, directly in the heart of golfing, hiking, and 20th century design
My spacious 3 bedroom 2 bath home is in a very quiet, walkable community of lakes and desert landscaping, sitting just under the mountains. The village of La Quinta is home of the historic California La Quinta Resort. We are a 1/2 hour drive to Palm Springs the iconic home of the mid-twentieth century Hollywood getaway and 1/2 hour drive the other direction to the equally iconic Joshua Tree National Park. The greater Palm Springs area is filled with seemingly endless activities, indoor and out: Aerial Tram to the San Jacinto mountains for a hike followed by dinner in the stars, a museum of art featuring 20th century art and design, architecture tours, outstanding restaurants of many cuisines, music venues, The Living Desert animal park and gardens, Indian Wells Tennis Gardens, and of course many public golf courses throughout the region. Use of my BMW 430i hardtop convertible, to transport you through your visit, is included.

I'm a retired academic who has had years of experience traveling through out Europe, the Middle-East, North Africa, and Asia with my husband and children, now grown. As a family in the 70's and 80's we actually lived in Deutchland for 10 years. I do anticipate I will have either a single grown child or friend accompany me during the exchange.
