Cozy 'cottage' Home in Arnhem-Noord (Near Veluwe National Park)
Our home is cozy, green, and full of character, located on a quiet, historic, green square in Arnhem-Noord.
· The house: We have 2 bedrooms (one suitable for a couple or single person), a study room, a bathroom with a bathtub, and a cozy living room. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there’s a washing machine. It’s not big, but that’s what makes our Dutch ‘cottage’ extra cozy and charming.
· The garden: Our small green oasis of 16 m² is a lovely spot to relax. It’s packed with plants and visited by many birds. Perfect for reading, daydreaming, or just unwinding.

About the neighborhood
· Green! We are surrounded by forests, variou rivers, lakes, two wonderful (and huge) city parks. Just a 5-minute walk to the forest, and a bike ride away from Posbank and Veluwe, perfect for hikers and nature lovers. There’s also a lovely social farm around the corner where you can grab a nice cup of coffee before or after your walk or bike ride.
· Lovely town square with kind neighbours, in a lively and active neighbourhood
· City nearby: The center of Arnhem and the central train station are only a 10-minute walk away. So whether you’re in the mood for a forest walk or a café in town, or exploring the Netherland further, everything is within reach.

Outdoorsy and adventurous couple with a big love for nature and animals
Hi there! We’re Elize (38) and Maciej (44), a couple who’ve been together for 10 years and love exploring the world with open hearts and curious minds. Elize is a university researcher/lecturer, and Maciej is a data engineer/scientist at a university. Our love for travel goes beyond tourism, we love to dive deep into different ecosystems and cultures. Both of us have experience living abroad (Elize has lived in another country, Maciej immigrated), and we’re multilingual, which helps us immerse ourselves in new environments. We own a home ourselves, so we know exactly what it takes to keep a house literally and figuratively standing :).
We’d love to take a few months away to work remotely (Maciej) and focus on a book project (Elize). To do this, we’re looking for a cozy home in a green, peaceful area with enough workspace and excellent WiFi.
We’re crazy about animals and have extensive experience with cats and dogs (our own family includes a bouncy little dog and two sweet cats - one of whom has some medical challenges). Elize has also volunteered for years at a social farm, where she’s cared for pigs, goats, cows, guinea pigs, rabbits, and birds. So we know how to care for animals, whether it’s feeding, cuddling and loving them, or providing medical attention.
We’d love to bring both our dog and our two cats if the host is open to it, they’re used to traveling and adapt quickly:
Luna, our sweet small dog (a mix of Cocker Spaniel and Kooikerhondje), always travels with us. She’s calm, social, and well-trained.
Wiebel and Framboos, our two neutered cats, are clean, quiet, and have never sprayed in their lives.
We have a strong sense of responsibility and treat every home as if it were our own. We always receive compliments on how we leave places spotlessly clean, even after short stays.
We:
· Keep the house clean and tidy, as if we lived there ourselves.
· Take great care of gardens and plants (Elize has green fingers and loves tending to indoor and outdoor plants).
· Respect the rules and wishes of the homeowner.
· Are reliable and communicative: we’ll keep you updated (if you’d like, of course) and solve any issues right away.
· We don’t smoke (nor do we drink or do drugs :)
