Waiting for the ferry to arrive to go back to Vashon from Seattle. The Vashon ferry heading to West Seattle. There is also a passenger only water taxi which goes directly to downtown Seattle f... We can see no other houses from our house. It is surrounded by trees. The kitchen gets lots of light in the morning. Downstairs living room with bedroom door. The downstairs living room with the bathroom around the corner. A sliding door leads into the small office beyond the bookcase. Downstairs bedroom with King bed. The downstairs bathroom. We use hemp shower curtains to avoid plastic or vinyl shower curtains. Upstairs bedroom. The upstairs bedroom with a queen bed. This is looking out the windows from the upstairs living room. During the summer we like to sleep outdoors on this futon bed on the back porch which is under a roof in case it rains. Back deck where it's nice to eat outside and enjoy the back yard. There is a small office space downstairs with a built in double bed. It is a great place to nap in the afternoon sun. We have a wood stove in the downstairs living room and a small television. A cozy house with a water view overlooking Puget Sound on a rural island close to Seattle.

Our house is on a small road which offers great privacy but is still close to the small town of Vashon. Vashon Island is an easy ferry ride away from Seattle. It is a great spot to explore the Pacific Northwest. We are close to the city but also within driving range to the mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Vashon Island is semi-rural and it attracts interesting and artistic folks who appreciate the proximity to Seattle but prefer island life. We are surrounded by trees and have a great water view of Puget Sound. At the end of our road there is access for hearty folks to access a walking beach with a fabulous view of Mt. Rainier.

Adventurous, friendly, curious and eco.

We are casual, easy going and almost always open to new experiences. We love the outdoors and participate in a number of outdoor activities such as swimming, biking, hiking, crew, and tennis. And yes, some pickleball. We raised our two children here on Vashon and have watched them go out into the world to start their own families. We miss being around young people and look forward to engaging with people of all ages and experiences. We are always looking for a rock to jump off into a river or waves to catch in the ocean. We are deeply concerned about the environment and try to mitigate our impact when traveling.
