Holiday home in Aviemore in the Cairngorm National Park. Thirty minutes south of Inverness.
Munro Cottage is a traditional Victorian stone mid terrace cottage situated in a quiet cul-de-sac within walking distance of Aviemore town centre. It has a living room / dining room, one double bedroom, two twin bedrooms, kitchen, toilet & shower, two further toilets, an additional shower room and a garden. The lounge and hall are heated by storage heaters. The bedrooms and kitchen have electric panel heaters. There is an open fire in the lounge which burns wood, peat or coal.
There is free Wifi.
The pictures of the Cairngorm plateau and the steam train were taken from the cottage window.

About the neighborhood
Aviemore is situated in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park. In winter it is a popular ski resort. In summer there are many different activities available -hillwalking, fishing, bike trails, watersports on Loch Morlich and the River Spey, quad biking, clay pigeon shooting etc.

Aviemore is 30 minutes from Inverness and two hours from Edinburgh by car. There are good rail connections between Aviemore and Inverness/Edinburgh.

Très bon échange avec un couple sympathique que nous avons eu le plaisir de rencontrer. La communication a été facile. La maison à Aviemore est bien située pour découvrir une partie de l'Ecosse. Après leur passage chez nous, nous avons trouvé notre maison comme nous l'avions laissée.
Vacances en Ecosse mieux qu'à l'hôtel dans ce charmant village d'Aviemore. Belle maison , conforme aux descriptifs et idéalement située . Echanges très cordiaux et serviables avec les propriétaires, rencontrés à l'aéroport.
C'était un très bel échange avec Margaret et John. Ils étaient d'une très grande gentillesse et très respectueux et chaleureux dans nos échanges avec de bons conseils sur les sites à visiter. Leur maison à Aviemore était un vrai havre de paix dans un environnement magnifique. Nous serions prêt a y retourner car en 15 jours d'échange nous n'avons pas eu suffisamment de temps pour tout voir et surtout découvrir cette magnifique région des Highlands. Je les recommande, vivement, pour des échanges de maison.
Aviemore is a great village. The cottage is in a convenient location to the train, shop, pubs. Margaret & John are really kind and nice! GREAT exchange!
