mob.: 697381099, intervac friends our permanent house in PALIO-KAVALA, is a semidetached villa of three floors. There are 3 bedrooms,two double and a single one. there is one bathroom upstairs and a small one at ground floor, there are two living rooms, one of them is a TV lounge with kitchen in open concept. All modern and necessary appliances available. Our car is a one years FIAT-TIPO... and an older one FIAT FIESTA,well maintained of 200.000km.PALIO is a seaside suburb of KAVALA,6 km drive downtown.It is not a resort..but gets trendy!! during summertime! Autumn and winders it seems silent with only murmuruing sea waves on the many beaches...weather is mild but hot in summers...One priveledge of our home is its freshness during hot days , especially the two lower floors; Of course A/C exist in all rooms, as well as central heating in winter times. Fresness in summers is the gift of the many trees around the house, it gives also seclusion and privacy....according to mediterranean standarts of those qualities...there are four ''clusters'' of houses arund..oursis one of just four I could say that major priveledge is the vincinity of house tomany wonderful beaches on foot and /or short drive...as well the beautiful downtown KAVALA, the island of THASSOS, the antiquities at ANCIENT PHILIPPI, the NESTOS river and hiking no mountain PAGGEON.during spring,autumn and wintwr THESSALONIKI is also an experience...but mostly our house offers space and books and music for relaing after an interesting day ourdoors! WELCOME..PS We are experienced exchangers and great lovers of this way of travelling

About the neighborhood
our semi detached home stands in a very interesting suburb of kavala. Palio [the name of the suburb]..is just 6km from dowtownkavala and just 3km from the outskirts. i used to walk downtown but there aren t any sidewalks. there are buses every hallf an hour. there are many modern villas around. the houses are smoothly climbing green hills. the greenery ,of course is of mediterranean quality. there are free and organised beaches every 100 meters. there is a wonderful beach right down town kavala. Palio and Kavala have biologicall cleaning of sweages 30years now. In kavala you can windowshop as well as in neighbooring towns of xanthi and drama. lots of cfeterias viewing the picturesque port downtown, lots offresh fish tavernas.winter and summer it is a lively place. more info at home.important hotells IMARET andLUCY ,YOU MAY TASTE THEIR TEAS OR COFFEES.Another hoter s roof garden is named galaxy hotel, there is the best view of port and castle s old town.At Palio exist small hotels few tavernas its mostly residencial structure...however nearby villlages of N. IRAKLLITSA andN. Peramos are exuberant at summer nights food fish drink pastries fast food restaurants and tavernas walking and street theater create such a different summer experience especially N. Peramos village. enjoy it.... I OFFER SOME ASPECTS OF ALMOST ALL INTERESTING SPOTS IN NORTHERN GREECE...FROM KAVALA YOU HAVE TO SPEND 1 OR 2 NIGHTSIN THOSE PLACES...IF YOU WANT TO VISIT AND KNOW THEM...IT'S EASY IF YOU ARE ON 3-4 WEEKS VACATION....HOWEVER CHALKIDIKI IS EVEN A ONE-DAY TOUR [THE ATHOS BOAT-TRIP]...OR THE ALLEXANDROPOLIS HIGH-WAY TRIP... WE OFTEN VISIT THESSALONIKI THROUGH A ONE-DAY TRIP...SO YOU CAN SPLIT VISITS ALL THE LENGTH OF YOUR STAY HEPURUS IS A MUST EVEN FOR SUMMERS-ZAGORIA VILLLAGES- ESPECIALLY AS WELL AS KASTORIA...TRY GUEST HOUSES..THEY ARE REASONABLE IN PRICES AND OFFER LOCAL-SPIRIT.....AT LEAST MOST OF THEM THASSOS AND XANTHI ARE SO CLOSE AND SO INTERESTING AND SO FAMOUS IN TOURISTIC PROGRAMS SO THAT I ADD A FEW INFO

we are a couple of retired dentist,evdokia, and pshycologist,minas. wearein our sixties we have two daughtersin their thirties.literature and cinema making are their proffessions one lives in athens the elder is married with child and lives with her chemical engineer husband in bratislava. we have exchanged a lot since 1987. it was then another club in englandthat we used. 2010we had our first intervacexchange in ireland . very amazing experience as always.then financial crisis made us DIZZY...then we became grand parents then now we start again..usually offsprings....dont follow us. just in case that one express serious intention to follow...we will inform you on time
