We are looking for an exchange in summer 2026 for 2-3 weeks.
You can be sure that we will act careful and respectful in your home. Our big family home is warm and cosy (we love to live in). It is located in a quiet village named "Lochau". Its a 5min ride to Bregenz where you can enjoy the town, shops, restaurants, lakepromenade..... and the local mountain "Pfänder". Hiking up to the top takes around one hour, but there is also a cablecar going up, you can enjoy a fantastic view over the whole area, over the lake. In 10 minutes you reach Germany as well as Switzerland in 20 minutes. During the summertime Bregenz is offering the very famous "Festspiele" with the tribune on the lake. There are many bathes where you can enjoy the lake as well.
You can take wounderful bike or trekking tours. The landscape is interesting and really great.
We live close to beautiful and famous regions as Bregenzerwald, Silvretta , Arlberg with very high mountains. Here you can visit famous skiingresorts if you agree a swap over Christmas.But also the lovely pretty towns (many of them with middleage -parts) around the lake are jewels to be discovered summer and winter with fantastic Christmasmarkets. One of it is the island Lindau , 10 min drive away from home.
We have a big familyhome with a nice garden surrounding. We also can offer a swimming pool( summer) and an open air whirlpool(winter and summer)) in the garden. You will also enjoy the lakefew and its colourful sunsets.
There is enough room for 10 people. There are three bathrooms with shower or bathtubs and toilet and one separate guesttoilet,six bedrooms and a big living /diningroom beside the kitchen. Of course free WIFI and TV.!
We own a second home in Lockenhaus, Burgenland. Its very cosy and big enough for around 6 people. Its only one hour away from Vienna and situated on the Hungarian border. Burgenland is the country with the most castles in Austria. Theres a beautiful one in our village. If its free( we also rent it ) you can use this house as well, if you want to visit this area for a few days.
We are sure you will enjoy your holiday in Lochau and maybe in Lockenhaus in summer and winter.
In case of changing cars we can offer a 5(7 )seats BMW 218 GT automatic with roofbox for skiing stuff .

About the neighborhood
We are living on the lake of Constance, between Switzerland and Germany. Our region is famous in summer and winter, having beautiful mountains for skiing and hiking. The lake offers a special athmosphere, taking walks, going for a bath, watching the animals is very special. Its no problem to reach very famous skiingregions in daytours - for example Damüls, Lech, Warth. Some very nice ones are also quiet close! Over Christmas there are lovely markets all around, also on the lakeside. Really romantic....

Dagmar was very helpful before the exchange, guiding us through the process for first time. She gave us lots of great information about things to do etc The house is great, and the garden is beautiful. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The scenery is spectacular An excellent exchange which I highly recommend.
Wir hatten wunderbare Tage in Irland. Das Haus ist sehr schön, geräumig, großzügig, toll ausgestattet und in einer sehr schönen, typisch Irischen Gegend gelegen. Wir konnten von dort aus viele Ausflüge starten, und haben dieses wunderschöne Land an vielen Orten besucht und bestaunt. Diese Bilder in unseren Köpfen und die Freundlichkeit der Irischen Menschen werdennuns noch lange begleiten. Die Kommunikation mit Charlotte war super, ihre Hilfsbereitschaft riesig groß! Ihr Vater, Bruder und Nachbar waren sehr lieb und bemüht, uns jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Charlotte und ihre Familie haben unser Haus sehr sauber und ordentlich hinterlassen. Unser Kater und die Blumen wurden bestens versorgt. Vielen Dank für alles, es war so schön bei euch!
The Dagmar's and Wolgang's house was cozy, warm hearted and full of beautiful details. The house was big and very clean, 6 big bedrooms! The family have lovely cat Indigo, needs only to give food and pet. Dagmar & family took good care of our home. You could see Lake Constance and mountains from the terrace and the mountain Pfänder for hiking is right next to the house. Lochau is near to everything. It was easy to visit in 4 countries and different sights.
Wir haben 2 sehr schöne, gemütliche Weihnachtswochen in Helis und Anttis Haus verbracht. Das Haus ist schön, es bietet ausreichend Platz und ist sehr gut gelegen! Wir haben tolle Ausflüge gemacht, das Auto ist wunderbar zu fahren. Heli und Antti sind liebenswert und hilfsbereit, die Kommunikation hat allerbestens geklappt. Ihre Tips waren sehr hilfreich!! Unser Haus wurde in einem sehr ordentlichen Zustand hinterlassen, auf unseren Kater haben sie bestens aufgepasst! Ich kann sie sehr als Tauschpartner empfehlen, es ist eine große Freude, in ihrem Haus gewohnt haben zu dürfen.

We are a family of mother and father having six children. Three are grown up, having their own young families and three will join us on our holidays: The youngest one (17years old boy),the middle one (18years old girl) and the 22 years old son.
