Houseboat in central Stockholm, Sweden
We live on an houseboat in Stockholm city with excellent communications.
It is not a boat, nor a house. It is a house on a boat. Plenty of space in two floors with two big terraces, two bedrooms and a double bedsofa, a large bathroom and sauna.
A staircase leads down from one of the terraces to the water for swimming and to the kayak.
The Pampas Marina where we live is a gated community and closes at night, as safe as it can be. Even the cars are parked inside the gates.
Stockholm, the capital of Sweden and the Venice of Scandinavia. It has everything you want from a big city and at the same time it is close to both the sea, lakes and forests. To the east of Stockholm you can find an archipelago of same 25 000 islands, it must be one of the most beautiful places in the world.

About the neighborhood
Our housbout is situated just next to central Stockholm which starts just across the bay outside our living room wondow, 300 m. away and full of restaurants.
The very city centre is not more than 20 min. away by bike, about the same distance in time with the metro.
Next to us in the Karlberg castle with its gardens, open for walking summer time and cross country skiing winter time.
A smaller supermarket is just up the hill at Västra Skogen, 7 min. of walking. Bigger supermarkets are to be found less than 10 min. away by driving.
Just 7 minutes away walking is the metro station Västra Skogen, in the other direction is the next station Stadshagen, some 9-10 min. away.
On the east side of Stockholm is the fantastic archipelago with some 25 000 islands served by a multitude of regular boats working like buses.

We are two travellers interested in seeing new part of new parts of the worldand love the Intervac exchanges.
We did it for many years until the kids were not kids any more and became teenagers not wanting to join us any more on our exchanges.
Now, as the teenagers have become adults and moved out, we want to restart our exchanges again.
