House in Geuensee, Switzerland
Our home is situated in the heart of Switzerland only one hour by train or car to Basel, Zurich or Berne. It is 25km from Lucerne which is famous among tourists from all over the world for its lake of the four cantons, Mount Pilatus and the old town. Our house is located in a residential area with no through traffic. The landscape is rural and hilly, ideal to spend an unforgettable holiday.
Our family has shrunk down to 2 people because our 3 children have left our house: Uschi (63) and Paul (70) both retired teachers.
Would you like to spend an active and adventurous holiday or a rather relaxing one? Everything is possible. The lake of Sempach is only 3km from here and always good for a swim. Moreover you may use our 4 bikes or go for a walk, or go hiking in the mountains or play golf. Interesting medieval towns, museums and other sights are right at our doorstep. It is only 2 hours to the Italian speaking Ticino which is worth seeing at any time. Of course, we will be happy to provide you with further information according to your needs. About the neighborhood
We live in a rural village with a population of 3000. From our house you can see part of the valley we belong to and quite a few lovely peaks (Eiger, Jungfrau, Titlis, Pilatus) of the Swiss Alps.
In our little village you will find one coffee shop and two restaurants. There are also two grocer's shops. The local town at 3 km with 10'000 inhabitants has got a big shopping mall and all kinds of shops, some delicious restaurants, diverse sports facilities, bowling included. The lake for a good swim is only 3km from here either. We often go there by bike.
In our leisure time we frequently go biking, hiking and do nordic walking.
Around our house we run a little vegetable and flower garden with plenty of birds. There is also a pond with fish. We call it our little nature reserve.

Este intercambio con la familia de Suiza ha sido fantástico. La familia, Paul y Uschi han sido muy amables y hospitalarios con nosotros. La casa es preciosa, muy bien equipada y en un entorno privilegiado. Todo mucho mejor de lo que esperábamos.
