Welcome to Limonadefabriek Flora – Your Eco-Friendly Home Exchange in Overmere
We offer you our new holiday home, Limonadefabriek Flora for your holiday. On the site where our family once brewed lemonade (1911-1983, there now is holiday house for 12 people located in the peaceful village of Overmere, East Flanders. It’s a bright, spacious and characterful family house, combining historic charm with modern comfort.There are 5 bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. The ground floor (1 bed-- & bathroom) is adjusted for people in a wheelchair.
We are within walking distance of shops, bakeries, restaurants and the beautiful Donkmeer lake – perfect for swimming, boating or relaxed family walks.
Inside, you’ll find a warm, inviting home with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living spaces, and a large garden with shade under the trees, ideal for children to play or for enjoying quiet evenings outdoors. We live sustainably and try to make our home as eco-friendly as possible, from natural cleaning products to energy-saving choices.
Overmere is an excellent base for exploring Belgium:
• Ghent – 25 minutes
• Antwerp – 40 minutes
• Brussels – 45 minutes
• Nature reserve Berlare Broek – just around the corner
Our neighbourhood is safe, green and family-friendly, with plenty of cycling and walking opportunities.

About the neighborhood
Situated in a small village with the local bakery (try their croissants!), supermarkets, bar... and nice neighbours, Overmere is is surrounded by fields and water. The Donk lake is the pride of everyone who lives in Overmere. Take a relaxing walk or visit the ducks and birds. The big playgarden is perfect for kids of every age while you enjoy one of our many beers (or deserts)
The protected area of Kalkense Meersen will take you on a walk between small and big rivers, fields ... If you like to spot birds, this is the place.
Our main cities Ghent, Brussels and Antwerp are 20 - 40 minutes by car and worth a visit.
Even bigger cities? Amsterdam and Paris are just 2.5 hours by train.

Super sød familie, og et fantastisk hjem at besøge. Pieter og familie er søde og hjælpsomme, og havde mange gode forslag til ting at gøre og se i deres lokalområde og Belgien i det hele taget. Pieter er super at kommunikere med, og oplevelsen overgik vores forventninger på en meget god måde. Kan klart anbefale andre at lave en aftale med dem.

We had a wonderful week in Overmere! The house is well equipped and super cosy - we felt at home from the moment we arrived. Our children loved the chickens, the garden and the small park directly opposite. :-) Overmere is ideally located for visiting Ghent, Bruges, Antwerp and Brussels. Eline and Pieter also provided us with lots of helpful information about nice walking and cycling tours, restaurants and other places to visit in the area. We were able to enjoy a varied holiday with many highlights. We are very grateful for the uncomplicated and cordial communication! Everything at home was also in perfect condition when we returned. We can only warmly recommend the exchange with the Vermeiren family!
De ruil kwam zeer vlot tot stand en het contact was heel hartelijk. We kregen veel goeie tips voor wandelingen, restaurants, uitstappen... Het huis en de tuin waren fantastisch. Een week was te kort :-)

Hi! We love to go for a walk or drive our bikes on quiet paths in nature. We have chickens in the garden and grow some vegetables and fruit.
At the holiday home, we have fruit trees and some small fruits. Feel free to eat what you find. We live in a low carbon house and treat our stuff with a lot of respect and will do likewise with yours :-)
Our kids love to eat, make walks in nature, swim, play boardgames and play outside.
