Munich....Puchheim
We already have our Winter- and summerexchanges 2026.
PLEASE NOTE: in summer we're not interested in Southern Europe (too hot). We decided to stay in Europe the next years, so we're not interested in destinations overseas at the moment. The minimum stay is one week.
We're nearly always interested in the Netherlands, but not in july/august.
We're in general interested in short-term exchanges, but the minimum is one week.
We live in Puchheim, very close to Munich.
It's only a 20-minutes-trip with our local train to the center of Munich. The train goes every 20 minutes.
In Puchheim, our small town of about 21.000 in the outskrits of Munich, you can find all the things you need for your daily life. Puchheim offers several shops, supermarkets and some restaurants.
Until now we exchanged houses for 35 times and have become very enthusiastic about this way of travelling
In Munich and Bavaria you can find many things to see and to do, also for children and young people.
- discover beautiful Munich and its wonderful surroundings
- hiking in the Alps
- swimming in Bavaria's fine and clear lakes
- see many, many castles, especially "Schloss Neuschwanstein", the fairy tale castle of King Ludwig II.
- visit many interesting museums
- concert and two opera-houses
- visit Munich's big zoo
- LEGOland
- a.s.o.
- ..... and of course the famous bavarian "beer-gardens".

About the neighborhood
We live in Bavaria in southern Germany in the very, very near of Munich.
Here you can find many things to see and to do, also for children.
Discover wonderful Munich, hiking in the Alps, swimming in Bavaria's fine and clear lakes, see many castles, especially "Schloss Neuschwanstein", the fairy tale castle of King Ludwig II., many interesting museums, a big zoo, LEGOland..... and the famous bavarian "beer-gardens"...

Het huis is precies zoals op de foto’s. Lieve kat en van alle gemakken voorzien. De communicatie was erg fijn, vriendelijk. Ze hebben ook perfect voor ons huis en de katten gezorgd. München makkelijk bereikbaar met openbaar Vervoer. Voor mooie natuur wat verder rijden/reizen nodig.
Un havre de tranquillité où l'on pouvait se ressourcer pleinement après nos visites. Munich est très facilement accessible en train et en peu de temps. L'atmosphère chaleureuse et accueillante de cette maison a contribué à rendre notre séjour des plus agréables. La maison est grande et parfaitement propre. Les échanges avec la famille ont été d'une grande facilité et empreints d'une sympathie naturelle. Le retour dans notre propre maison a été marqué par la satisfaction de constater que tout était resté tel que nous l'avions laissé. Cette expérience a renforcé ma conviction que les échanges sont un beau moyen de voyager. N’hésitez pas à me contacter si vous repassiez à Paris. Merci !
Cosy, clean flat in a good and interesting location with friendly neighbours. Good starting point to explore Paris, well connected by metro and buses. Nice communication, nice family who left our house clean and tidy. Thank you very much for this exchange!

We are a family of four and a cats:
Silke (56), operasinger, she likes reading, classical music, jazz, dances Boogie and plays the soprano-, and baritonesaxophone, the piano, the accordion and the theremin.
Claus (61), lawyer, he likes history, arts, football, reading, classical music and loves Sweden. He's addicted to art exhibitions.
Our grown up children Lina (24) and Jakob (27) moved from home, study in München and usually don't follow us in our holidays.
So we will be probably two persons who travel, maybe one or both of our children would drop by. At Christmas we travel in four.
We all like travelling and discovering new places.
We have already swapped houses 44 times and became very enthusiastic about this way of travelling.
All families felt very well in our house and our area.
Our cat Frau Dr. Tietze is a very sweet cat, who needs to be feeded and needs always clean cat-toilets. She is uncomplicated and friendly.
