Berlin-Teltow, Tyskland

Our house 120 square meter and is located at the outskirts of Berlin. The garden gate leads into the nature reserve at the Teltow Canal. There you can find the historical "Mauerweg" (Berlin Wall Trail). Those who favour sports feel invited to hike, jog, to do skateboarding, inline skating, biking etc. The Berlin Wall Trail is a cycling and hiking route that marks the course of the former GDR border fortifications with West Berlin.
The route is signposted and runs for around 160 kilometers.
In most sections the path runs along the former customs route or the column route.
At more than 40 stations there is multilingual information about the division of Germany, the construction and the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Information about the East Side Gallery
The East Side Gallery is the longest remaining section of the Berlin Wall.
The suburban train station (S-Bahn line 25) is aproximately 1.3 km away. Within 20-24 minutes you reach the Potsdamer Platz, Brandenburger Tor, Friedrichstrasse, Oranienburger Strasse, thus the city center of Berlin. From there you can explore the cultural metropolis of Berlin individually.
If you like to visit the city of Potsdam and the Sanssouci Palace you can get there by car in approximately 20 minutes or else you take the Bus or the S25. If you like to go swimming the out door pool at Kleinmachnow is very inviting or else you might like to go to the famous Wannsee beach at the banks of the river Havel.
We like the setting of our house very much because it is a lot of green around yet one gets quickly into the centre of Berlin!
