Sunny penthouse with roofgardens in the heart of Amsterdam

This bright penthouse apartment is next to a canal in the historical city center of Amsterdam. It is located in a modern building in a small, quiet, non-traffic street. It is on walking distance of the lively squares Nieuwmarkt and Waterlooplein (where you find metro-stations).

The apartment is on the third and fourth floor, there is no lift. The living room is very bright and spacious, thanks to large surfaces of glass. There is one double bedroom and a double sofa-bed in the living. The livingroom opens to the south-west oriented roofterrace. On the other side of the house, adjacent to the kitchen, you will find the north-eastern roofterrace. On the floor below is the entrance and the bedroom, with double bed (140cm wide), storage and a little desk. Adjacent is a showerroom/toilet.

NB. The available space is our pied-à-terre in Amsterdam. It is part of a bigger apartment, that is shared with 2 young working professionals. Our space has it's own entrance door which can be locked. You will have for yourselves: the living, the kitchen, one bedroom, the shower-room/toilet and the roofterraces. You share the apartment's entrance door, corridor and washing machine.

Appliances
Living: digital tv, stereo, wifi-internet
Kitchen: freezer/fridge, dishwasher, microwave/oven, gas cooking plate, toaster, espressomachine
Bathroom: shower, washing basin, toilet
Storage room: washing machine/dryer (communal)

Surroundings
The building is in a small street free from car-traffic that stretches from on canal to the other. There is a little wharf where boats can moor. The bedroom looks out over the courtyard of a 18th century synagoge. Excellent connection to main city roads. Metro/tram 250 m. Central railway station 10 minutes walk or 1 stop by metro.
Within walking distance: Opera, Artis Zoo, the Botanical Garden, Dam Square with the Royal Palace and the adjacent shopping streets, Flower Market, Hermitage Museum, Rembrandt Museum, Maritime Museum, Architectural Centre Arcam, Muziekcentrum aan het IJ/Bimhuis (contemperary music and jazz), EYE Film Museum, Flea market Waterlooplein, Jewish Museum, Synagoge.
