We had a very enjoyable trip in Madrid and would recommend it as a destination. Monica and José made us feel very welcome.

This was our first home exchange; August 2024, and it was wonderful. We enjoyed our time in Madrid very much. Our exchange family's communication with us before, during, and after the exchange was excellent. Their communication and organization of all necessary information and materials were key factors in making our trip not only pleasant but a success. Their home is lovely. It is very clean, spacious, modern, and quite comfortable. The veranda overlooks a courtyard with a beautiful pool. It was a pleasure sitting outside and having our morning coffee or in the late afternoon or evening enjoying a glass of wine. The online listing is accurate. The location of the exchange home was very convenient. It is located a short walk; 3 - 4 minutes, to the metro which takes you into various stops in and around Madrid. The home has a grocery store just steps from the front entrance. It was perfect! Madrid is a fantastic city with beautiful architecture. We enjoyed touring the royal palace, several museums, and many churches. Our dining experience were varied and all so very good. We took in a flamenco show on our last evening and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys culture and artist dancing. Upon returning to our home, we found it to be well cleaned. Our exchange guests took great care while staying in our home and even replaced a beach umbrella that had broken during a wind gust. Our guests treated our home like their own. We most certainly recommend this exchange near Madrid for those seeking a cultural experience which includes delicious food, great sites, interesting history, comfortable accommodations, and more.
