Historic Family Home in Haarlem – Close to the Beach, Nature & Amsterdam
Welcome to our family home in Haarlem! We live in a charming terraced house built in 1924, with many original architectural details still beautifully preserved. Over the years, we've carefully combined its historic character with modern comfort, creating a warm and welcoming place for families to enjoy.
Our house is located on a quiet, tree-lined and child-friendly street, where children often play outside and neighbours know each other. It's the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring.
One of the things we love most about living here is the location. From our home you can easily walk or cycle to Haarlem's beautiful historic city centre, the lively Cronjé shopping street, the Kennemer dunes and the beaches of Bloemendaal and Zandvoort. Cycling is by far the best way to explore the area, and almost everything is within a 15–20 minute bike ride. Amsterdam is only a 15-minute train ride away, making our home an ideal base for discovering both the city and the Dutch coast.
Our bicycles are available for you to use, making it easy to experience Haarlem and its surroundings just like the locals do.
We love sharing our home and our favourite local spots with other families, and we hope you'll enjoy Haarlem as much as we do!

Ja alles top. Eine super Kommunikation und sehr nette Menschen. Das Haus war wie beschrieben. Tolle Umgebung!
Een supertof gezin met een heel fijn huis op een rustige locatie in Haarlem. Communicatie was top, hun huis was heel proper bij aankomst en ook wij mochten genieten van een proper huis bij terugkeer. Zeer aangename ervaring, dankjewel voor deze ruil!
La maison est située dans un quartier calme résidentiel d'Haarlem agréable, elle a le charme des maisons de ville un peu anciennes. Elle était propre à notre arrivée. L'accès au centre-ville d'Haarlem est très facile, ainsi que l'accès aux routes permettant d'accéder aux différents axes routiers. Nous avons retrouvé notre maison propre et rangée comme nous l'avions laissée en partant.

Sharing Our Home, Discovering Yours (Active Family-Curious Travellers-Passionate Home Exchangers)
Welcome to our home in Haarlem! We hope you'll enjoy living here as much as we do and experience the Netherlands like a local.
Hello! We are Floor and Floortje, a family of four with two young daughters (born in 2018 and 2021).
Floor is a sports medicine physician at the University Medical Center Utrecht, and Floortje is a paediatric nurse at Spaarne Gasthuis. We both enjoy active and healthy lifestyles and love spending quality time together as a family.
Whenever we're not working (taking care of patients), you'll often find us cycling, hiking, going to the beach, swimming, canoeing or exploring nature. We also enjoy visiting museums, discovering charming cities, cooking, playing board games and meeting up with friends and family. During our holidays, we love combining outdoor activities with local culture, great food and relaxing together.
We love home exchanging because it allows us to experience everyday life in another country while giving other families the opportunity to discover our hometown. Rather than being tourists, we enjoy living like locals— shopping at neighbourhood markets, cycling everywhere, finding hidden cafés and discovering the places that local people love. That's exactly the experience we hope to offer our guests in Haarlem as well.
We don't have any pets and we take great care of our home. When we stay in someone else's house, we treat it with the same respect and care as we do our own.
We speak Dutch, English and a little German and French, and we're always happy to help our exchange guests with tips before or during their stay.
