Bright 4 bedroom home on tree lined street in downtown Halifax. Large private backyard with hot tub to relax in after a busy day sightseeing. Bikes available to help you explore the city. 10 minute walk to downtown waterfront which has many festivals during the summer months.

About the neighborhood
Our home is on a quiet residential street in one of Halifax’s sought-after historic neighbourhoods.
You can walk from the house to the universities, Halifax Public Gardens, Point Pleasant Park, downtown and many of the city’s main attractions. The Halifax waterfront is also within easy walking distance, with restaurants, pubs, cafés, shops and local markets.
One of the best things about living here is how easy it is to get out of the city. Beaches and hiking trails are 15–30 minutes away by car. Within 45–60 minutes, you can be hiking along the coast, kayaking or canoeing, or exploring small coastal communities.
There are lots of easy day trips from Halifax. Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg and Mahone Bay are all within reach, as are the wineries, orchards and farm markets of the Annapolis Valley. You can also spend a day exploring the Bay of Fundy and seeing the world’s highest tides.
If you have more time, Cape Breton and the Cabot Trail make a great overnight trip.
Halifax is a very convenient base — you can walk to most things in the city while still having beaches, hiking, coastline and small towns close by.

We loved our experience exchanging with Shannon and Kent. They have a lovely home in a convenient neighbourhood in Halifax. Our interactions before and during our stay were open and easy, and we actually met them at the airport at the end of our stay to return their car. We enjoyed their hot tub and watching shows on their big screen tv. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our few meals that we made, and they even left us a light meal for our first night stay. Experienced exchangers
We’re a couple with three grown children who love to travel. We are experienced exchangers with 11 fantastic past exchanges and we absolutely love the authentic travel experience it gives. Now that the kids are bigger it’s often just the two of us traveling. We’re an easy going family that will treat your home with special care. We hope you will feel at home in ours.
We have a hypo allergenic dog that does not shed who will NOT be at the home during the exchange (he will stay with our relatives).
