A 4-bedroom house in a green part of Wales' capital city, Cardiff
Our home is a large 4-bedroom house with high ceilings and a lot of antique features including original fireplaces and tiling. We live in Roath, Cardiff, in a very green part of the city, with Roath Park and Roath Lake just round the corner. Cardiff is a diverse and vibrant city, with its centre 10-15 min away by bike, and the redeveloped Cardiff Bay beyond that.

Looking for a 3-week summer 2026 exchange, preferably in Vienna, but open to offers from elsewhere in Western Europe. Primarily our house in Cardiff (GB52071) is available for the period 18 July to 9 August, but GB52145 in Tenby could also be included as part of the exchange (for 1 week, 11-18 July). |

About the neighborhood
Roath is one of the nicest suburbs of Cardiff. The area is extremely green, with Roath Park (and Lake) just round the corner, along with Heath Park and Bute Park a short distance away. Our house is also 10-15 minutes away from some of the most interesting shopping/dining streets in Cardiff outside the city centre, including Albany Road for shopping, Wellfield Road for restaurants, and City Road for Middle Eastern/Asian food and groceries. Cardiff City Centre is also a short bus or bike ride away.

Great exchange in Cádiz and Conil de la Frontera. Isabel was very helpful in every regard, and the lovely apartments were clean and well equipped.
The house in Cardiff, very nice, spacious and clean, was very well located for visiting the city — you can get to the centre by bus or on foot. Everything you need is nearby. Tom provided us with very useful information to enjoy beautiful Wales. Communication was very smooth, and we felt very welcome. Welsh people are extremely kind! An excellent exchange!
Lovely homes on Färingsö and in Älvsjö. Örjan and Ingela provided all the help and info that one would need, and even gave us a tour of their favourite parts of Stockholm when they got back to Sweden. Heartily recommended.

We're a family of five, with Dad (Tom) from Wales, Mum (Cindy) from Canada, along with Arwyn (aged 11), Nye (aged 3), and Caian (aged 1). We're based in Cardiff but also have a holiday home (sleeps 10) in Tenby, where we spend a lot of time. We run our own editing company, working online, so have the flexibility of traveling a lot. Tom did a lot of house exchanges with his family as a child, and we have just decided to start house exchanges ourselves.
