Elegant apartment located in the main street of a welcoming, small country town. The second bedroom is currently used as a study. The town of Yass is about 6,000 people in size and has all urban amenities, such as shops, cafes, medical/ pharmaceutical and a gym within easy walking distance from the apartment. And a great little wine bar downstairs. The wine bar under the apartment showcases local cool climate wines and is open three nights a week, until midnight. Not too noisy. Great place to meet people. The town of Yass is a 40-60 minute drive from Canberra, the administrative capital of Australia. Canberra is home to national galleries, museums, theatres and all the facilities a city of half a million people has to offer. the Canberra District is an up and coming cool climate wine re3gion in Australia, particularly noted for Riesling and Syrah (called shiraz in Australia) wines. Yass is located ten minute away from the Hume Highway, which is the main connecting road between Sydney and Melbourne. A train line between Sydney and Melbourne is also nearby. the south coast of Australia is a two hour drive from Yass.
