Centrally located family apartment in a renovated old building
We are offering our beautifully renovated apartment in an old building for exchange. The apartment has a spacious living room (20 sqm), a bedroom with a double bed and home office set-up (20 sqm), and a children's room with a daybed that can be pulled out into a double bed (12 sqm). We have a fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, and freezer. There is a large bathroom with bathtub and washing machine and a separate toilet. We also have a small balcony overlooking the courtyard, where you can use or bbq, enjoy your meals or a glass of wine in the evening (picture to follow in the spring).
During your stay you can use our bike (2 adult bikes, 1 kids bike). You can also use our electro-cargo bike where you can transport you kids or loads up to 150 Kilos total :-)
We dont have a TV, but a screen where you can plug-in your laptop to watch movies.
We don't have air conditioning, but all the rooms have blinds and fans. As we live in an old building it does not get that hot in the apartment.

About the neighborhood
The Apartment is very centrally located (five minutes walk from the metro station and from various tram stations). It is a quiet residental neighbourhood with lots of old buildings. There are two large parks with playgrounds nearby. The Danube Canal ist very nice to walk around / bike and also go for a drink in the evening.
You can reach many sights (museums, theaters, coffee houses, historic city center) easily by public transportation or bike (15min).Vienna's well-known recreational areas, the Danube Island (where you can enjoy cycling, walking, and swimming for free) and the Prater with its long Avenue lined with chestnut trees for cycling and walking and the Wurstelprater amusement park, are also easily accessible by public transport (25 min).
In the summer time, Vienna offers a lot of (mostly free) festivals like the Vienna Cultur Summer https://www.kultursommer.wien// , Open Air Film Festivals and free Opera Screenings at the City Hall Square; You can easily go swimming at the Danube or in various public outdoor swimming pools,or go for walks in the Prater or the sorounding Vienna Forrest. The Apartment is ideally located for trips to the Wachau, Bratislava, (by Boat) Prague and Budapest (Train), and other Austrian Citys like Graz or Salzburg (Train)
