Hi - we’re Fiona & Anthony. We live in the leafy suburb of Camp Hill in Meanjin, which is the traditional Indigenous custodians' name for Brisbane. We have a traditional colonial house known as a 'Queenslander' with views over the suburb. Our house has high ceilings and verandahs to catch the Moreton Bay breezes & keep the heat out. The house is completely renovated with all the mod cons. 3 bedrooms (1 x King, 1 x Double, 1 fold out couch), 3 full bathrooms, 2 lounge rooms and separate dining. There is a paved outdoor entertaining area in our backyard. We can accommodate up to 6 people (+ blow up mattress).
There are parks, native bushland, shops and restaurants within walking distance of the house. The bus to the city & the famous 'South Bank', is close by. As we have done a number of exchanges, we know what you'll need and have it ready for you: tourist brochures, maps, bus timetables and of course, sunscreen. Enjoy a morning coffee in the sandstone courtyard, where you can listen to the local bird life. Sip a sundowner on the front porch as the day drifts away and you rest your weary feet. Wander down to the local bowls club for a takeaway Thai meal. If you enjoy cooking, we have a Weber BBQ, a 6 burner gas stove and electric oven.
We have a car (Honda Jazz - manual) to exchange which will allow you to drive the famous beaches of the Gold Coast (less than 1hr) and theme parks (1 hr) as well as the Sunshine Coast (under 2 hrs). A car will also mean you can visit interesting locations such as Daisy Hill Koala Centre, Hamilton Eat Street Markets and enjoy the views over the city and Moreton Bay from Mt Coot-tha.

Several years ago we spent 18 months in Europe. We did lots of great exchanges in places such as Spain, Austria, France, Switzerland and the UK. We return to Europe of a regular basis. About the neighborhood
Our neighbourhood is a very old suburb of Brisbane. It has many traditional 'Queenslander' houses built of wood with tin roofs. They have wide verandahs, high ceilings and are raised from the ground to allow for airflow and cooling breezes in our hot climate.

A very comfortable home in Bourges with all the appliances and comforts you need. Close to the centre of historic medieval Bourges with it's marvellous Gothic style Cathedral and local produce markets. We also did a car exchnage which meant we could visit lots (and lots) of amazing castles and museums in the surrounding contryside. Jean-Marc has left lots of information for us and also arranged for some friends to meet with us and share some hospitality. We enjoyed this very much. We also met Jean-Marc on our last night in Bourges, when he returned from Australia. We had much to talk about and now consider Jean-Marc to be one of our friends that we hope to see again the next time we visit that area of France.
J’ai eu la chance de rencontrer Fiona et Anthony, et le courant est bien passé entre nous. Avant le voyage, Fiona m’a donné de nombreuses informations qui m’ont été très utiles pendant mon séjour à Brisbane. La maison est très jolie et “historique”. De type “Queenslander”, elle a été partiellement refaite, tout en conservant son âme passée (elle est plus que centenaire). Spacieuse, elle offre tout le confort que l’on peut attendre d’un échange. Mes hôtes ont très bien pris soin de ma maison.
Our Brisbane partners couldn't have been better. They are excellent communicators and were so kind. The house and the neighbourhood are just lovely. They haven't stayed in my home yet as this was a non-simultaneous exchange. I really enjoyed staying in their house and appreciated all the information and welcome they provided.
Our accommodation was wonderful - so clean, comfortable and accessible to all the major attractions of the town. We stayed for a month and had everything we could want for. Our contact with Kor was regular and easy.
