About the neighborhood
We live in the tranquility of the countryside but close to the historical cities.
Our house is very spacious and designed with lots of light.
We have a big garden, in the back, you can even find some vegetables.
The front terrace is our favorite spot, in the sunshine.
Our house is located in a very quiet street that leads to the fields.
Shops and restaurants are nearby.

A beautiful, well-equipped home with a large garden, located on a quiet, low traffic rural road. Step out the door onto safe hiking trails and a vast array of bicycle-friendly back roads. Frans' and Chris' home is ideally located as a base from which to discover Belgium: By car it is only 30 minutes to Ghent, less than an hour to Bruges and only 20 minutes by train into the heart of Brussels from a station nearby the house. We enjoyed the mix of local hiking and biking and the day trips to explore the famous cities.
Thank you for the lovely exchange and for the warm welcome in your house. We found a lot of tips for trips, everything was well prepared and we immediately felt at home. Chris and Frans are very kind and helpful hosts.
Prettig Belgisch gepensioneerd stel met mooi vrijstaand huis aan de rand van het dorp waar wij ook prettig met onze hond konden lopen.

Frans was teacher by profession and is now retired.
Chris was an independent architect and is now retired.
We have 2 daughters ans 3 lovely granddaughters.
We usually travel just the two of us, without children.
We can make ourselves available all year round.
Car swapping is possible if the partner wishes, but is not necessary for us.
