Beautiful authentic, sunny and bright Amsterdam appartment in historic neighbourhood

This beautiful authentic apartment in the Plantage neighbourhood has everything you're looking for when visiting Amsterdam!

About the house
The entrance of our house is on the first floor. When you enter the house you'll find a small hallway with a coatrack and a toilet. The living room has a seating area for watching tv and a turnable for listening to music. From the living room area you can enter the sunny balcony. Big enough to have breakfast outside! On this level you'll also find the kitchen with cooking area, fridge, oven, Nespresso coffee machine and dishwasher. On the second floor you'll find the bedroom with a beautiful high ceiling with the original beams. There's a two-person bed and a bathroom with a second toilet, shower, bathtub and washbasin is also on this floor. A washing machine and dryer are here for your use as well.

About the building
These houses are called 'sibbel huisjes'. They were build in 1828 for the employees of beerbrewery 'De Gekroonde Valk', The Crowned Falcon'. A couple of years ago these houses were totally renovated.

About the neighbourhood
We live in a beautiful quiet street in the city centre of Amsterdam. The area, called the 'Plantage' neighbourhood, was full of warehouses in the 17th century. From our balcony you have a view on the old warehouses and sometimes you can hear the monkeys from the Artis Zoo, which is within a 5 minute walk from our apartment.

Culture? There are many museums just around the corner: the Maritime Museum, NEMO Science Museum, Arcam (Architecture museum), Hortus Botanicus, the Holocaust Museum, Hermitage, Tropenmuseum and the Jewish Historical Museum. Within 15min you are on the Museum Square where the Rijksmuseum (e.g. Nightwatch), Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum are based.

Food & Drinks? You can find lots of cafés and restaurants nearby like De Plantage, Bakers & Roasters, Brouwerij het IJ, Amsterdam Roest (city beach), Hannekes Boom and De Scheepskameel.

Shopping? Go to the the Czaar Peterstraat, the Javastraat or Utrechtsestraat.

City center? 15min by bicycle, 15min by public transportation.
Amsterdam Central Station? 15min by foot, 5min by public transportation
