2 bedroom flat in the center of Göteborg, Sweden
A charming apartment 70 m² on the 1st floor of an old building from early 1900's. Our apartment is on the first floor with a lovely backyard and a small garden. The apartment has 1 bedroom with a double bed and 1 bedroom with a single bed; a living room with a sofa group and a television; a modern kitchen with all appliances (microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher) and a kitchen table; bathroom with shower. Free internet access. The apartment is newly renovated and has a great atmosphere!
It is located in the center of Göteborg in a charming part of town called Linnéstaden. Our street is just one block from Linnégatan which is a popular avenue with shops, a cinema, and lots of restaurants and cafés. The avenue is filled with people in the summer and at weekends. Transportation is easy with trams and buses running nearby. Many sights are within walking distance. You can find the biggest park (Slottsskogen) just a few blocks from the apartment. Close by is also the Old Town of Haga which is a historic part of town with many wooden houses. Really nice! No car is needed since most places you want to visit are within walking distance or easily accessed by buses or trams.
Landvetter Airport is located 30 minutes by car or airport bus. Ferry to Denmark and Germany within walking or a short ride by tram. If you arrive by train, the Central Train Station can easily be reached by tram. Mind that the car park is expensive if you arrive in your own car.

About the neighborhood
Please visit https://www.goteborg.com/en for info about the city of Göteborg, which is the second biggest in Sweden. Göteborg is an exciting city with many tourists in the summer. Visit the big amusement park Liseberg, the museums, or the great park Slottsskogen. Or just stroll through the streets in the various parts of the city.

The main tree-lined boulevard Linnégatan is stretching from the square Järntorget all the way to the park Slottsskogen packed with restaurants, cafés and shops. Here you can shop in the second-hand and antique shops as well as trendy interior shops. As always, don’t forget the side streets of Långgatorna, which are charming. Close by is the old town of Haga.
At the end of the boulevard Linnégatan you find the big city park of Slottsskogen which is a beautiful park where you can visit both elks and seals as well as have a picnic or a long stroll.

It has been a non-simultaneous exchange. For the second time, Brita & Stefan, have opened their home to us. It's a very cozy apartment, very well located in Gothenburg city. They are a very kindly family and we don't doubt to recommend them if you want to go to the Nordic countries. Now we're waiting February when they will come to our place and do their part of the INTERVAC exchange.

Stefan (aged 61) has his own business in textile and Brita (aged 61) is a teacher at a secondary school. We both enjoy traveling and meeting new people but also spending time in our house in the country.
